Latest rankings / play off pots

Not officially out but saw something saying we've dropped into pot 2(if we finish 2nd) and Poland have replaced us in pot 1. I see Poland are home to Netherlands next then they are away in Malta

Think the playoff position is all to pot... they're out of date as spoke to Welsh fans representative on Monday and he says if finish 2nd we are pot 1... it has something to do with fact didn't lose by 3 goals to Belgium

I thought the rankings were based on our Euro Nations League placing. Or did I mix that up with something else?

If we finish 2nd it’s pot 1 if we finish 3rd then we’re in pot 2

No only fifa do rankings.... nations league only garaunteed playoff then its a combination of whatever fifa/eufa decide for seeded teams... we will be pot 1 if finish 2nd which means we'll be at home to a team from pot 4... think it's then an open ballot for who and where final game is played provided we win semifinal....thi k that's yhe scenario as told on Monday at game

Yes but we also qualify via eufa system hence the finish 2nd in group we'll be in pot 1.... its complicated..

Basically need to win the last two games or the first play-off game will be tough.

Liechtenstein shouldn't be an issue, would be a terrible result if we don't win there.

But I expect North Macedonia will play for a draw so they can get second. Can be difficult to break them down, as Belgium found out last week.

Thanks. I just checked the rules and yes I can see now that provided we are second we will be in at least one of the top 2 pots and guaranteed a home semi final. If we win that its down to luck of the draw. Finish third and we are away in the semi.

We should go for broke in Liechtentein. Its a very big ask but a 6-0 win is possible. North Macedonia put 4 past them away last week and Belgium scored 6. That would put us ahead of North Macedonia and they would have to come for a win. I cant see them beating us in Cardiff if they have to go for a win but they are well capable of playing for a draw

When I checked the rules with uefa site I discovered it was old scenario... because it said pot 1 teams played pot 4 & pot 2 played pot 3... ... not sure how us in pot 2 comes about as being a nations league winner puts us in pot 4 with all other nation league teams if come 3rd..... but as been said maybe we should go for the 6 goals at Liechtenstein to force n.macedonia to go for win at ccs so giving us better chance

Bit of info we are in pot 4 for next nations league taunement! Which basically means we will have all the big boys to choose from to play...
