Dylan Lawlor scored his first senior goal for City, with Brian full of praise for the defender, but also commented on how he’ll learn from today’s game.
Brian Barry-Murphy:
“He’s chuffed [with the goal]. I think he found it a really difficult game. You saw how much pressure he came under in terms of the physicality of Leyton Orient and he’ll learn a lot from the defensive side of the game.
“His goal was symbolic of how he plays the game, no fear and approach, stepping forward right to the edge of the box and lucky for us, produce a good finish.”
“He’s a brilliant lad and we’ve seen signs of brilliance in his play. The attacking side for him is natural. He’s a centre back who can break through opposition pressure, which we needed .”
