This is just my opinion and I know the laptop experts who sit there with stats and fitness level monitors etc and paid good bucks to advise the coaches of who should play come off how many minutes etc etc.
But I think it's killing the coaching side of the game within matches.
Is BBM being advised by these guys about X amount of mins so and so has run and his level is below X amount so he should come off (or not start next game). Even though that player is playing outstanding etc.
Personally I like to see a player who's been outstanding stay on for the 90 or have a run of 5 to 6 games in a row etc but this day its all about the science and monitors.
Just making me think is this part of the reason for so many changes each game?
Personally I'd rather a solid settled back 5 and certainly pretty much the same with the other 6.
Think our best 5 has been when we started with trottfish lawlor kpakio and bagan. And would like to see it stay until injury suspension etc

I’d imagine the stats that matter (goals conceded) clearly show Lawlor and Fish as our top performing partnership. Injuries and knocks obviously play their part but consistency in those important areas is key.
Luton fans said we’d walk the league after signing Osho, I see no evidence of this.

Yeah I get the part of stats where goals conceded etc tackles made will be used.
But my main part is also the fitness stats with regards to substitutions and resting. Surely the player who's on amazing form and busting a gut don't want to be substituted or dropped/ rested next game because a laptop tells them too.

Agree. It’s a fine balance between playing someone that’s 75% fit and risking injury I suppose. It’s a hard one.

I think a player( for instance robbo yesterday) 2 goals then got taken off which I know was tactical for extra defender but say computer says he's run too much to play Tuesday.
Surely that would knock him back mentally as he's on a high in form etc.
Idk maybe I'm just too old school for computer science and sports science.
I'm more right scored 2 I'm not going off until I get my hat trick or I'm first name on team sheet after that

Think if upon took a look at bbms main substitution point it would be around 60min mark during games... even though its been obvious couple games halftime would be better time.... if you notice 1st thing backroom staff do is look at monitors when there's any kind of incident or goal.... medical sciences is what coaches look for when deciding fitness of players before and during games... as they say why pay big money for a sciences dept and not take their advice regarding players fitness?
