RUBIN COLWILL LEFT OUT AGAIN? AS 3 CARDIFF PLAYERS INCLUDED

Tue Sep 30, 2025 9:36 am

Personally I honestly believe Bells has it in for Rubin??

Remember Rubin was in the year that Bells was virtually kicked out of City’s Account.

Aaron Ramsey returns to Wales squad as Cardiff City kids called in again

Cardiff City trio Dylan Lawlor, Ronan Kpakio and Joel Colwill are all included, but the latter's brother Rubin misses out yet again.

This will be first time Wales have played in front of a crowd at Wembley since a narrow 1-0 defeat under Gary Speed back in 2011.

Some 6,500 fans are expected to travel to Wembley, with Wales hoping to set a positive tone ahead of a hugely important World Cup qualifier with Belgium in the capital.

Wales head into this international break sitting third in Group J, one point behind North Macedonia and equal on points with the Belgians, who currently have one game in hand.

I’m a great Bellers fan but I think this is ridiculous. Harry Wilson plays in that position and rightly so. But Rubin would be a great and better back up than others. No way should Ramsey be in for him irrespective of his experience. Not exactly boosting his confidence is he?

Might be called up when Dan James drops out injured ( which is likely). If not at least Rubin won't run the risk of injury playing for Wales.

8 goal contributions in 12 games so will be interesting what Bellamy says about consistency.

may be accused of bias on this one, but the useless tried and tested Mark Harris over Isaak Davies is laughable just like the Colwill omission

He deserves a spot 100%, I think even the Jacks would admit that, especially based on his form.

Bellamy doesn’t seem to rate him at all.

Got to be honest, I agree with Bellamy this time. I didn't last time.

Rubin should have been in the last squad no doubt. He has a brilliant start to the season.

But his level has slightly dropped since the last international break. He's still been great but not quite at the level he was at in August.

Because he wasn't in the last squad, didn't expect him to be in this one.

I won't compare him to Mark Harris being in the squad because they're totally different players.

You are wrong here Worcester. His levels have not dropped off and he set himself a high bar. He is our most important player as he is the one that everyone looks up to to create. We could struggle more without him in the team for sure. You must be honest here mate. Look over your previous posts over the last year and they indicate you were not a great fan of him yourself and often criticised him - or at least could not see many of the good things he did.

The point is that he wasn't in the last squad so I haven't seen anything this month that would mean he'd be in this squad.

He should have been in the last squad but wasn't. So I'm basing it all off that.

I have criticised him in the past but he's been great this season.

But because he wasn't in the last squad when he should have, I don't know why people expected him in this squad.

Cannot see much wrong with the squad really.

We have to remember what league we are now in. Many a time we got annoyed at players being picked from League One.

Logic dictates that you pick the players playing in the highest leagues and then drop down the pyramid when you are weak in certain positions.

I must admit that I would pick Joel over Rubin. Wales also have Harry Wilson and Liam Cullen who can play a similar position.

The only query would be Ramsey over Rubin. But Ramsey is the new Bale, he will be in the squad for man management and hopefully the odd bit of genius.

shows the difference between bbm and bellers

bbm picks based on merit bellers picks based on reputation

Maybe Rubin had something to do with Bellers and his bullying allegation?

Ah yes, that must explain why he's picked Joel, Lawlor and Kpakio then.

He’s been great for City this season, but there are better players than Rubin available in that position for Wales.

I'm a massive Rambo fan, but right now, I'd pick Rubin over him.

I don't think Bellamy can keep rolling out the he needs consistency line it just keeps making him look stupid

And as for better players in his position yes there's a couple but he played Cullen in the 10 role against Canada and rubin is head and shouldes above him in my opinion and the stats this season speak for themselves

Jeez!

He tried to call him up to cover injuries in his last squad, but Rubin himself had a niggle, so couldn’t accept!

I’m with Worcester_CCFC on this one. Ballers has the players for his system in that position, so Rubin will have to keep up his form, and be patient. It won’t be ‘personal’ and his time will come!

Ramsey is the captain. When you're a national team captain, if you're playing for your club then you will always be in the squad.

And if Ramsey is picked on reputation, then he's earned that.

It's borderline for me, with valid arguments either way.

Keep his start up and both Wales and we'll benefit.

Nice well earned break for him is the upside.

Calm down. I heard things in the past (which I didn’t believe) so just a slight thought not making any rumours

can't just keep selecting Ramsey when he has the injury problems that he has captain or not

I've always been A fan of ramsay but he's not the same player anymore we should know better than anyone

and Bellamy himself was the one who said he will pick based on consistency so you can surely forgive some people for raising an eyebrow when you look at some in that squad

As rambo. Been injured in Mexico? Can't say dont ay because he's injury prone! As said he's captain he plays if fit enough bellers left him out as not fit last time so argument on injuries is mute point.... a fit rambo is ahead of most in team if played in correct position.

ramsay was fit for us at times and was still a shadow of the player he once was the only game I think I remember him being any influence in was the jacks and Leicester game in his first season under bulut

I don't understand how he is bang to rights if fit

I don't like talking about Ramsey like this coz as said before always been a fan
but taking opportunities from up and coming talent when he'll probably have to sit every other game out just seems wrong to me

I have a question for you all though and be honest I'm not trying to start arguments or anything because I agree with most of you most of the time but

solely based on this season if you had the option to have Ramsey in the cardiff team instead of rubin would you take it?

Re: RUBIN COLWILL LEFT OUT AGAIN? AS 3 CARDIFF PLAYERS INCLU

What does that have to do with the Wales team? Nothing. It's not an either or, we don't get to pick from all the leagues around the world when it comes to Cardiff City.
