Wrexham is one of the few night away games you can actually home by train, last train to cardiff from Wrexham is 22.38, with stops at cwmbran and Newport, fares ain't to bad, £55,with a third off with various railcards.

Sounds good but doesn't extra time and penalties come in in the next round?

Think extra time doesn't come in till the semis.

It will still be tight, if it goes to penalties, as the 8pm kick off means the actual game will end close to 10pm

If goes to penalties can always ask for train to wait for you?

Use to happen in 70s/80s

Yes well fans can still leave early but you stand the risk of being called out for that.

The station is right next door to the ground, so should not be a problem

I remember going on the football special to Wrexham in the late 70's. The train started in Bridgend and it was the only time I remember the special picking up in Barry, which was great as we could pick our seats before everyone else got on. Trouble was it went back on the main line and all us Barry boys ended up in Bridgend. No Vale line passenger trains in those days so we had to go back to Cardiff. BR at its most imcompetent
