Vote your Man of the Match v Wigan Athetic (away) on Saturday 27th September 2025
A match where we were fast out of the blocks and kept up possession and pressure for long periods, with Wigan opting for counterattacks when we lost the ball
Two goals; one a potential own goal, but given to Perry Ng; the other, a Yousef Salech penalty right at the end of the game!
Some very good performances again out there today, but for me,
Cian Ashford was back on form, and he gets my vote

Calum Chambers for me.
Him and Osho did brilliant.

I went for Osho, thought he covered everything they threw at him very well.

Wintle revels in this system; he needs space, and he gets it in this system, always available.
But i voted for Ashford as he got his poor game out of him, and played well and hard for 2 solid games.
Bagan's improvement under this coach is batshit crazy

It’s a tough one, and agree Bagan is totally different with this manager. My only concern with him is he’s better if he doesn’t have time, if he’s in space and has time to stop and think he just ponders for too long. No issues with that today though and he makes some great supporting runs.
Salech looked hungry coming on, and would have scored before the penalty if he wasn’t brought down so glad he got to finish the move eventually.
I’ve gone for Rubin as the man of the match, he’s showing much more consistency than ever before. Before he was a 5, getting the odd 7 or 8,
Now he’s averaging for me 6-7 with the odd 9-10, if he can get his shooting sorted out he will be unbelievable

Agree with what you say apart from your mom choice. I thought he was poor today. All opinions tho

I thought it was Rubin's worst game of the year, unusually quiet. That said another assist

Totally agree with this. Watching him today he won everything and controlled everything. He is a potential Defensive Captain for me.

Tough one to pick from this game but for me we got to see the old Ng when he was good

Nice to see Ashford have a decent game.

NG could have had a hat trick

Yes I agree. Good in the air, tackled well and very comfortable on the ball. Really pleased that BBM has brought in players to fit into the way he wants his team to play.

NG & Ashford both had very good games but for me Osho was MOM - He read and intercepted so many of their forward passes and his distribution was excellent.

NG, back to his best which we havent seen for years.
Looks hapoy and confident.
Isaak and Ashfords work without the ball yesterday was excellent also.

Wintle for me. How we let him go on loan last season is a mystery, revelation this season, and long may it continue.

There were many contenders, but NG's overall performance just about topped that of the Rubens, the other defenders and the forward line, though Ashford was superb. I hate his 'dark side' but have to give him credit when its is due.

I’ve been critical of him of late but he’s played well last 2 games. Seems to be better on the left.
