Referee tonight

I keep forgetting to do the referee rating thread, apologies for that.

Won't do one for tonight because it was only ever for league games, but soneone remind me on Saturday if I forget again.


But I have to say that I thought tonight's referee was very good. Not saying that because we won, I've been really critical of some even when we have won this season.

He let the game flow, didn't make any obvious mistakes and only gave yellow cards when he had to.

We've criticised them a lot this season, so credit where due.

The reason the ref might have been better than what we have seen this season is - He refs at a higher level than Div 1 .
Also not the 1st time he has refed one of our games in the last 2 seasons

Yes he was very good, we forgot he was there, which has been hard to do this season.

That was the best refereeing performance of the season from a Premier League Referee
The difference in class was there for all to see.
League 1 referees tend to be up and coming younger referees who are learning their trade, the top referees have earned the right to perform at the highest level.

Didn't really notice he was there which is always a good thing from a referee.
