MY VIEW TONIGHT CARDIFF MARCH IN TO THE 4TH RD OF THE LEAGUE

MY VIEW TONIGHT CARDIFF MARCH IN TO THE 4TH RD OF THE LEAGUE CUP AFTER AN IMPRESSIVE WIN AWAY AT BURNLEY:

Cardiff fielded a Strong Team against Burnley’s Second string Team ( 11 Changes) but Remember still Premiership.

Cardiff players did excellent tonight and impressed.

Cardiff Deserved this Victory and for the majority of the game were the better side and they really wanted it.

CARDIFF TOTALLY DOMINATED THE FIRST-HALF AND DESERVED THEIR 2-0 H/T LEAD:

Cardiff had dominated for 30mins then: 30th min GOAL! Burnley 0-1 Cardiff City Joel Colwill
A Cardiff corner was half cleared, but Perry Ng lofts the ball back into the danger zone. Will Fish flicks it on to the back post, where Calum Chambers wants it more than his marker. He stabs the ball back across goal and Joel Colwill is there to tap it into an empty net from a couple of yards.

Then Trott made a great save.

35th min: GOAL! Burnley 0-2 Cardiff City Robinson
Goooal! Robinson doubles the lead!
Cardiff build up really well through Cian Ashford down the left. The ball is then shipped out to Rubin Colwill, who looks up and picks out his man with a low cross.
Callum Robinson hits it first time with his left foot and it goes through Max Weiss' legs and into the back of the net!

SECOND-HALF:

Cardiff were again Dominating, then a Nathan Trott error:
GOAL! Burnley 1-2 Cardiff City
Goal! Zian Flemming with a stunning finish, capitalising on a Nathan Trott error, 56th min.
Trott's pass out from the back is poor and intercepted. Flemming is then found 25 yards out and he whips it brilliantly past the goalkeeper.

61mins: Isaak Davies replaced by Willock

76mins:Three changes for City: Omari, David Turnbull and Yousef replaced Rubin Colwill, Joel Colwill and Callum Robinson.

84mins:Great save by Trott

87min: corner after corner for Cardiff, both wasted.

89min Nyakabu replaced Cian Ashford.

LEAGUE CUP 3RD RD:

H-T 0-2

Great win.

Brilliant and surprising to be in Round Four, don't think that's happened since the Malky days?

Apart from the poor pass that game was well controlled. Allowed them into it with that, fair play there was no chance of redemption from the Fleming goal, nobody was stopping that.

A lot of players needed to show up today after the poor result on the weekend, and I think they did.
Davies was excellent and deserved the start
Robinson as well, another good goal and looks to get into positions to shoot
Ashford surprised me, excellent today, ran himself into the ground in fairness
Chambers had his best game in defence for us, he worries me though when the other team press

I agree with everything:

They did show up and the majority of the game was ours.

Ashford was very good tonight

Chambers I agree his best game so far

Burnley put out a 2nd string last night but it was either a Premier League or Championship quality team - and we did the job on them. We did the job with players of our own missing.

I honestly think this team is going places.
