Vote your Man of the Match versus Burnley in the Carabao Cup 3rd Round (away @ Turf Moor) on Tuesday 23rd September 2025
A decent team out there for us tonight, and the Bluebirds started very well, passing the ball very well, and not being overrun by our Premier League opponents. We certainly worried them with our early attacks, and it drove the Burnley side back on its heels before we deservedly went ahead in the 29th minute with a fine team goal, put in by young Joel Colwill, and then another smartly worked goal from Callum Robinson!
A team full of good performances out there tonight, including Nathan Trott, who despite a poor clearance for the Burnley goal, stood tall on a couple of occasions to keep Burnley at bay and even more frustrated!. He also kept us ahead in the tie with a smart save on 83 minutes
A great game and a great win for us, as supporters; and today my vote goes to young
Joel Colwill, who showed the watch world how good he already is and how far he could go!

Bagan for me

Calum Chambers for me.
Excellent at CB.
He's become a scapegoat for many and some posters were saying we'd lost 4-0 because he was playing so pleased for him tonight.

Lots of good performances tonight, thought chambers had his best game for us, bagan was outstanding and is turning in to a brilliant left back
But I gave mom to Joel Colwill I thought he was outstanding, hannibal was there best player and is quality but Joel didn't give him a moments peace and more than matched him for 80 minutes and is why I gave it to him

Wintle.....Just doesn't need a shadow like Turnbull (or Ralls of a few seasons ago)
Needs an 8 as a partner, and he had one tonight

I voted for Joel, but I can see how Bagan is ahead. Both played well, as did the whole team.

Good to hear but it’s going to take more than one good game to convince me he’s a CB.

No I agree with you there, he's got to follow that up in the next game he plays there.
But I was really pleased for him tonight, put in a great performance.
Maybe it helped that everyone else played well but I say well done Calum Chambers.

Bagan and J.Colwill - leading the way on this one

That was a superb team performance but for me Bagan didn't put a foot wrong in defence or going forward, so he shades it from Joel Colwill. We did a proper number on them and anyone watching who didn't know would undoubtedly have thought we were the PL team.

Chose Joel VColwill myself, but fully understand the votes for Joel Bagan, who is developing into a class player in his position!
