We are delighted to announce Isaak Davies has put pen-to-paper on a new City contract.
The attacker has signed an agreement with the Bluebirds until the summer of 2029.
Isaak joined the Club at the age of seven, progressing through our Academy setup. He made his First Team debut against Middlesbrough in 2021, and would score his first City goal in the Emirates FA Cup against Preston North End in early 2022.
City's No.39 has already netted on three occasions this season.
Speaking to Cardiff City TV after signing his contract, Isaak said: "I'm buzzing to get it done. Cardiff City is home for me.
"It's been a big part of my life. The whole buzz around the Club at the moment is so good and it is unbelievable to be a part of. It's a really great place to be.
"I'm looking forward to the future now."

Doing a good job of tying up the youngsters, that's the third isn't it.

More good news, following the news that Kpakio signed a new contract too.
Important to get these things sorted.

This must be why both Ken & dalman were at game Saturday!

This just leaves five players who are out of contract next summer:
Alnwick
Bagan
Ng
Turner
Wintle
I would imagine that Bagan will be next to sign a new contract.
Can't see Alnwick signing another one, pretty much been frozen out.
Unsure about Ng, Turner and Wintle.

If Trott signs permanently if we get promoted then I think Turner will be back up as he is now, so I can't see Alnwick staying, and I suppose it depends on how much NG plays as to whether he will want to sign again

Hmmmmm?
For me not Championship and has never proved himself.

I agree but I doubt we've signed him on huge money. He certainly warrants a new contract more than Etete.

Part of the reason he's struggled to prove himself is that he's been very unlucky with injuries.
Some point out he did well in Belgium, but so did Kanga. So I don't read much into it.
But I'm pleased he's signed a new contract. He has three goals already this season and if we go up but decide to move him on, at least we will get a fee.
It's so important to give these academy players new contracts because of the future potential fee we'll receive. That helps massively with PSR too.

Happy he’s signed a new deal not so sure about it being 4 years though given his injury record

Don’t forget Davies is injury prone.

If we can ever get him fit, he is a top 10 championship striker. The goals he scored this season were made from nothing

I actually agree. He has pace and can finish.
The big worry is his fitness.
But I'm delighted he has a new contract because he's another with great potential.
Let's not forget that forward players peak later than other positions.

Trott won't want two seasons in League One so no chance of signing him in January.
The deal includes an option to buy in the summer if we get promoted so extremely likely that he'll stay if we get promoted.

Isaak Davies Striker aged 24
55 Appearances for Cardiff / 7 Goals
For me he’s a Winger not an out and out Striker

Good Luck to the Lad - Hope to see him get a start this week .

id like to see him up top with Salech in a thorne/earnshaw style, unfortunately modern football all seems to be about lone strikers, in this case davies just wouldnt hack it as a striker

I Think Turner will too, he's decent.
