Vincent Tan is planning to make a visit to Cardiff before the end of the year.

The Bluebirds owner was last in town in December 2023 to watch Cardiff City draw with Plymouth Argyle on Boxing Day during Erol Bulut's first season in charge of the club.

This season is the first under Tan's stewardship in which City find themselves in the third tier, having suffered relegation last year under Bulut, Omer Riza and, lastly, Aaron Ramsey's management.

The summer brought with it a raft of rumours over a potential takeover, with three consortiums having been bandied about; one fronted by Gareth Bale, one led by a South African group and a third, unknown party. However, ahead of the opening game of the season, chairman Mehmet Dalman insisted the club would not be sold, with the focus solely on regaining promotion this year.

That came after Tan himself issued a statement to supporters, saying he was "upset" about relegation, but hit back at those who said he didn't care about the club.

"To say I don’t care is wrong and I strongly push back on that," he said, while also adding that he would "make every effort to be in Cardiff at the next opportunity that my scheduling allows."

That plans are already in place for him to visit the club in the coming months.

Just last week, head coach Brian Barry-Murphy said he speaks to the owner before and after every game and that he "hoped" the Malaysian businessman would be in the Welsh capital soon.

“He is enjoying games and he always wants more. He wants more goals and less conceded. That's obviously my job and if I succeed he will be happy and if I don't, he won't!" Barry-Murphy said of the owner.

“He is enjoying – I hope he is enjoying – what he is seeing. He has a clear way of how he wants to see the game played. My job is to try and supply that in the way I know how.”

He will need some pretty big ear plugs and whoever comes with him mr slime and cho cho will probably have to be there,
but i am sure they will try some excuse to not be there, like my yacht has sunk,

Tan wants more goals but is not prepared to spend on a top quality striker to score and get us out of the division he let us fall into,

he deserves all he should have he has put the fans through a lot of sh.t over the past years and left the club to flounder,

Its obvious what will happen.

A select few fans will be placed in the Grandstand ready to cheer him on when he makes an appearance. This will be captured on camera. The rest of the ground will be empty.

I'd be amazed if the tw*t remembers the way to the stadium.

No doubt he'll have to put up with plenty of fans suggesting he get out of the club and that he's a wanker and has been from the very first day.
