I didn't want to be the one to start this thread but nobody else has after today and it needs to be said.
He really needs to be dropped and I don't know why he wasn't hooked at half time.
He had a golden chance with a header.
His crossing was mostly poor.
He kicked the ball away while on a yellow on Tuesday which resulted in a needless red card.
I don't know if BBM is waiting for Kellyman to be in a position to start before he drops him, but he has to be dropped sooner than that.
Just try Davies on the right, he can do that job and Ashford is just too frustrating to watch right now.

After isak davies got subbed half time in the cup game in the week I assumed he was doing it because he starting on the weekend,he needs to be dropped ashford he takes to many touches and his crossing his poor,I thought Turnbull, colwill, and wintle doesn’t work in the middle mind either not enough legs to get around the pitch how Turnbull lasted 90 mins I never know gave the ball away about 100 times, like a slug to getting around

I definitely think Ashford needs to be taken out of the team for his own benefit he's struggling a lot and his confidence looks really low
Davies looked a lot more threatening when he came on and needs to start next week

I think he was only marginally worse than Willock. I don't think he is at his best in the system, but when i look at the DNA of it in Pep's system, he managed to reduce a £100million England international and one of the best talents in Doku as expensive subs.
So i guess I don't understand their role or expectations.

I don’t get these negative threads aim individual players so early in the season, we played less than 10 games under new management let’s keep faith with Murphy’s decisions till the table settles down.

I like Ashford , he’s a good kid , but something isn’t right and I said half time I hope Davies comes on for him , he needs a rest and seems to have a weight on his shoulders the last few games , he will come good when they get him right

Not good enough should be nowhere near first team his body language is poor

Agree Richy, he's not a bad player but it's just not working right now.
Maybe you're right that a couple of games out of the starting line up will do him good.
I do wonder if the signing of Kellyman has affected him. He may think that he'll lose his place eventually to Kellyman.

This is a good point ned , maybe he is worried , and he seems to have gone of the boil since Kellyman has signed , hmmm I wonder

Cian Ashford has been off form for some weeks, as noticed by many supporters, so I don’t think it’s down to Kellyman, and I think he will bounce back with the benefit of a rest

Absolutely spot on, never on his toes looks uninterested at times, missed that golden chance first half. Should never have started yesterday, has been off the pace, rarely takes his man on the outside? Both their widemen
were excellent, had thirst & hunger

I’ve said it all along, he is not a winger. He is a striker, but needs to be up top with a bigger man like Salech and play off his shoulder. The problem is we and others dont play with two up top these days.
Hea still young but will never make it as a winger. Willock has the same problem, not quick enough to be a winger.
Needs a rest, also maybe his head has been turned with the Sheffield Utd talk.

I think when he ducked out of that 50-50 challenge that was enough for me!

Yes Willock was poor.

Ashford is good player but lacks strength and hunger that both bradford winfers had yesterday, in fairness Ashford got a goal in him and maybe should be rested and be usesd as a sub especially as Davies seems asttacking coming off the bench and should start.
Willock annoys me 1 minute great next minute terrible.

Reminds me of when we first had Tanner, he needs to be a bit part player until he can get that confidence sorted.

Happy for him to have a break the only 5hing i would say in his favour was he got himself in the positions to have 2 clrar efforts on goal the shot on goal and his missed header ,
But he would benifit from a break.

Agree .

I think Ashford may be better used elsewhere or just needs to be told exactly what to do, i.e. cross the bloody thing.
Davies should start ahead of him in my view at the moment. It doesn't seem to be recognised that his dead balls are superb and he currently offers a lot more than ashford by the looks everytime he comes on

Exactly.
He had a great game tonight but then this forum loves a scapegoat mind.

He did do well.
Agree room for improvement.
We need to keep the faith with Murphy he seems to have a plan.

Looked better last night, more direct. His final ball still leaves a lot to be desired but he can work on that.
