Robinson and Kellyman

Sat Sep 20, 2025 5:07 pm

Thought they both did decent when they came on, in a difficult situation because we were 3-0 down.

Robinson was actually running and got himself a goal to make the score a bit more respectful.

Didn't know what to make of Kellyman on Tuesday but today he showed glimpses of quality with some great touches and good pace.

Once he gets up to speed, he'll be an asset.

Robinson did what he does and instinctively scored, but gave the ball away as much as Turnbull, he just is not very good with his back to goal.
Kellyman looks another "10".

I am old school i want pace out there.

I thought turnbull struggled today, I'd love a fit and up for it Robertson in that midfield, I think he would make such a difference

Agree with you.

Would you say pace is old skool?
I would say it’s much more the modern game. That’s the biggest difference in the levels.

To me they are all system guys now. Pep has his, Amorin has his, Klopp, etc. Most of them play inverted "wingers" who slows down and cut back in. We are playing with very little pace until Davies comes on

Robinson is a very streaky striker and will probably go on a little run of scoring now he has got two in a week. Kellyman looks quality in his brief appearances. Rubin was back to his wasteful self today and Kellyman will start ahead of him if today's performance continues.

You have referenced this in other posts, but I don't think BBM wants wingers that have pace.

He's a Pep graduate so wants players out wide in the same description as the likes of Foden and I think Kellyman fits that.

Willock is sort of like that which is why he likes him so much.
