Glad I stayed until the end

Sat Sep 20, 2025 4:15 pm

I'm glad I stayed until the end today, unlike some so called "fans".

It's 1 defeat in 11 FFS.

And for that reason, I don't agree with the boos at full time.

Well done. I would have been there with you.
Some obviously think we should go the season unbeaten.
4th after 8 games will do me.

I stayed until the end of the game and I’m not in that photo…. Did you mean wait for the players to walk around the pitch?

No, just used that picture as an example of me staying until the end.

It wasn't that empty at full time to be fair, but it was very empty.

Glad you stayed until the end too.

How long should we stay after the whistle??

Clearly not understood my post.

I just said respect to those who stayed until the final whistle. But I have no respect for those who walked out or booed.

A good hour just to be thrown out it seems  . Don't know what difference in my opinion tbh we lost easy today so people leave early or the final whistle if they got stuff on such is today's football we have had a good run up to now but that has been coming let's be honest we have rode some luck in games already this season. Today there pressure tactic and harass us BBM had no answer to it from start to finish. We go again :bluescarf:

Quite possibly I have, but the picture is very misleading it reads like you a much better fan than others that leave early. There were loads there at the final whistle still, I just don’t feel the need to hang around hoping Murphy flashes me a smile.

Fully agree Worcester. I stayed to the end and clapped BBM. I think the boos were for the officials though.

Maybe I missed the point as I thought the post was about the booing at the end.

I’ll never have a go at people for leaving early. Paid their money, they can leave when they want. People booing our first defeat of the season is a joke.

I apologise if the booing was for the officials, but that's not the feeling I had at the time - seemed to be for the team which I can't accept, given it's one defeat in eleven.

Some fans have young kids, or might have to get back for work or other family commitments and getting out of the stadium before the full time whistle makes a big difference. Doesn’t mean anything

No excuses not good enough. We will take photos and name and shame them. lol.

I’m only joking for the record.

They didn't have those issues after Plymouth, Rotherham or Peterborough though.

Funny that.

The game is 90 minutes plus added time, so are you saying it’s ‘okay’ to leave early for every game, as some do? :?

I always find that odd, but each to their own, I guess!

Seems like your trying to exaggerated your point with a photo that is clearly taken a while after the final whistle.

Shame there were no photos from those games.

It is a difficult one, I never leave early… never. I never boo a team.

However, Goutas made a point last year how the club and fans accept failure within the club… totally different he said in Greece. I think as a club we need to seek perfection and accept nothing less. So I will stay until the end but I’ll not stay after the final whistle and applaud a team who didn’t perform. Effort is a given and shouldn’t alone be seen as something we reward, we need effort and quality.

Today for me there were tactical errors and a lack of application. They should all look at Callum Robinson today, running to pick the ball up giving it to the opposition when we needed to got some momentum in to the game (and I’m not his biggest fan).

We also need to toughen up, there was a point where their manager was arguing with the forth official stopping Bagan taking a throw. Shove him out of the way, show some fire, get the crowd going. The danger in this division is we get bullied out of games. Toughen up lads, watch a few Roy Keane videos :-)

Very strange post and another post that your trying to make out your the top Cardiff fan and others do it wrong.

I sit in that stand and you get some leaving early like most games. But that must have been taken way after the final whistle because I left on the whistle and there were loads left.

I do agree booing after the great run we’ve been on is wrong. But each to their own.

Well, 15 years of sh*t under a dictator beats 7 - 8 games of hope under youth, can you blame them.??

Actually, with the current team and their performances prior to today, yes, I believe we can :ayatollah:

How on Earth is he saying he’s (quote you), “trying to make out he’s the top Cardiff fan’? :?

You post some (polite wording) bizarre posts, and this is simply another!

Leaving early is a choice, but it is one that I also find disappointing (my prerogative) :ayatollah:

This makes me laugh, if someone wants to walk out before the whistle, so what? It's a free country FFS.
Saying you have no respect for them means fook all! I doubt they give a flying one what you think anyway.
There are many and varied reasons why some fans leave early. As they pass you next time, tell them you don't respect them.

Get a life mun. :old: :old:

There’s a few things going on to make me think that.

He has said “so called “fans”” as if the fact people who have made an effort to go to the game and leave earlier aren’t fans.
The picture he posted does not match the thread title at all deliberately in my opinion try to make the situation look worse than it actually was because a picture at the time wouldn’t have shown much. The picture is taken way after the final whistle.
He’s lost the respect his opinion deserves by trying to manipulate things that simply weren’t true.

Like you Sven leaving a game early is not for me either I know when matches are so make my days plans around them. Although he more that leave early lowers the mass rush. That said I also respect other fans who have paid the money to do what they want it’s their prerogative.

It’s sad to see that things are improving on the pitch results wise at least, fans now enjoying the experience much more and seem to be unifying to some extent again, that after one defeat there seems to be a mini meltdown and we back to bickering with ourselves again.

On a side note though. Why are we as fans (me included) so bothered by attendances?

I can’t put my finger makes no difference financially to me wheter there’s small or large crowds and when there are larger crowds prices don’t go down probably increase due to higher demand.

Is it about the atmosphere? I would say no because the atmosphere was so much better years and years ago with smaller crowds.

Or is it simply to say my dad big than your dad??
