Bruno Guimarães' Quote

Fri Sep 19, 2025 5:53 pm

Bruno Guimarães: “Barcelona are an annoying team — they always want to keep possession and never get tired of controlling the ball.”

Bruno Guimarães: “They make you lose your nerves—you don’t touch the ball, so you get physically drained and exhausted, and when you finally get it, you don’t use it well because you’re tired.”

This is exactly what we are doing to teams this season, especially at home. We have made teams like Rotherham look awful this season, simply because they couldn't get the ball off us. Hopefully, we can do the same to Bradford tomorrow.

It was the same with Man City when they were at their best. It's why they scored so many late goals to get a result, teams were knackered.

Could argue we've done the same with late goals at Wimbledon and Stockport.

Stockport stopped pressing last 10 minutes which gave us the oppertunity to push forward bradford are another high prsss team like port vale so lets hope murphys has got to grips with high press teams.

They stopped because they were tired, which is exactly the point of the OP and me.

Again, that's because they were tired. We play a style that exhausts the fitness of other teams and that's why we've scored a lot of late goals.

Stockport were shattered you could just see them slow down mentally and physically after 80 minutes and it was the mental tiredness that caused there centre half to switch off and let Salech in
