About Bradford City

Bradford got promoted from League Two last season, after finishing 3rd.

This is the first time since 2019 that they've been in the third tier.

They have had a strong start to this season, sitting in second place - only behind us.

Club Connections

One of our current players, Jak Alnwick, also played one game on loan at Bradford.

Peter Thorne is another that played for both clubs.

The Opposition's Manager

Graham Alexander has been Bradford manager since November 2023.

Last season's promotion was his third as a manager.

He also won League Two manager of the season last season.

Opposition Dangerous Players

Bobby Pointon has five league goals this season, including two in Saturday's win over Huddersfield.

Max Power is an experienced and capable midfielder.

Referee

Martin Woods will take charge of this game.

Last season, he showed 104 yellow cards over 32 games. That's an average of 3.25 per game.

He also showed five red cards.

Head To Head - last five meetings

We have only ever played Bradford four times before.

The last of these was in 2004 when we beat them 1-0.

CURTIS Tilt has been ruled out for the next couple of months.

The City centre half has undergone a hamstring operation following his injury towards the end of the Doncaster game.

“It’s a real disappointment for us all including Tilty because he made such a positive start,” said boss Graham Alexander this afternoon.

“It was a really unfortunate injury in how it happened. The collision with the player caught him in a really awkward position.

“He’s had a small operation on that and will be out for a couple of months.”

Joe Wright took part in some training today and Neill Byrne is potentially in contention for Saturday after featuring in another behind-closed-doors game at the training ground yesterday.

Alexander also revealed that the EFL have confirmed Josh Neufville scored City’s third goal against Huddersfield.

Bobby Pointon had claimed he got a touch for a hat-trick but Neufville will get the credit.

Our biggest test so far, if you go by the league table.

If we do a job on them I think the rest of the league will really be worried about playing us.

As long as Chambers hasn’t got to be played at cb, we should do well.

I think I'd prefer NG next to fish if osho and Lawlor are out, I actually thought NG looked way better on Tuesday than he did up at Stockport and I'm hoping he will keep improving the more minutes he gets under his belt as we all know a fit and in form NG would easily be good enough at league 1 level

Pointon is quality for them. He'll need attention!

Time to start separating us from the rest. 2-0 home win, please!

We always know what the away turning up are,
why can we not know how many home fans tickets have been sold?

I agree, don't understand why the club don't provide ticket sales updates for home games.

Think it was you that said recently that you rung the ticket office up to ask for an update on ticket sales for a home game and they didn't say. Which is also something that I can't understand why they wouldn't say.

I keep voting "lose" & we keep winning so I went for "lose" again in case anyone was wondering who voted "lose". We're going to lose eventually (surely) so I'll be right once. :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:
