Not a great game today, but he stuck to his task defensively.
I am old school and don't really get the new formations, but is he wide forward?
BBM has the boys chalkline wide, I always get the feeling Cian is happier 10m infeild as an old school inside forward. He is dangerous after he cuts in. I just don't think he has the gas (nor Willock) for that role, or I am looking through old eyes.
Does this system bring the best out in him?

He was our out ball today and got in some really dangerous positions but his final ball was awful

Pye had him in his pocket. A quality performance; didn't give Cian a sniff and won every single battle.
The Willock/Davies switch won us the point in the end.

I agree. Thought Ashford was very poor.

Cian was dreadful today and needs to be dropped for Bradford

To be honest, I don't really know what he is.
He can't go on the outside a lot because unlike Willock, he doesn't have the pace or footwork to get past defenders.
He's good when he cuts in from the inside, but he can't do that all the time or it's predictable for defenders.
BBM said a few weeks ago that he wanted to see him arriving at the back post for tap ins but he's still not doing that enough.
He has a part to play over the season because he can come up with big moments.
But it's pretty obvious that Kellyman will take his place in the team when he's up to speed.

Maybe Ashford would be better as a back up to Rubin

Unfortunately born into the wrong era, he is a striker off a bigger man in a 442… not a winger, never seen him beat a man in a 1 on 1. Great movement and finishing.
He’s not a winger
He’s not a 10
He’s not a lone striker
Good defensively
Think he will end up on the bench behind Kellyman

Not the only one but he was awful today. Felt he’s been the weak link this season very little end product. Would definitely start Davies ahead of him next Saturday.

He didn’t have a great game but many of the others didn’t also. Wide players always tend to blow hot and cold. We had given up on Willock not long ago. He will play his part I am sure.
I know this was about Cian but Pye was mentioned above. He was impressive. January bid?

Thought he was dreadful and he will be lucky to keep his starting place next game going on that performance.
I don't think Davies was any better but he had little time to get into the game. Their fullback just simple bullied the both of them and it was frightening to watch.

I feel for the lad, def not Championship, but hopefully he comes good in this league Div 3

If Nyakuhwa wants to stake his claim for the RW spot, he's got a huge opportunity against Exeter.

Agree with this, flashes good potential and think he will bring the energy out wide.

Of all the youngsters I’m least convinced about Ashford.
He’s neat and tidy but in terms of impact it’s very minimal.
He doesn’t take on his man, doesn’t hit early crosses and doesn’t often get into goal scoring positions.
I hope I’m wrong about him but at the moment he’s way behind the other youngsters and I can see him dropping to the bench once the Chelsea kid is ready to start.

He didn't have a great game yesterday but I think he'll get there eventually. In BBM we trust.
