Sheffield United sack Ruben Selles

Chris Wilder returning, three months after being sacked

Updated

Surely getting sacked by Sheffield United this weekend.

They don't look like they know what they're doing.

I actually thought he did a good job at Reading under difficult circumstances but looks out of his depth.

They had their first away shot on target of the season in the 55th minute tonight. That's rotten.

Can't see him getting another Championship job anytime soon either.

4-0 Ipswich now, Philogene with a hattrick.

Put it in efl thread ned but absolutely awful defending 3rd goal 2 defenders cock it up then goalie let's ball between legs to complete the balls up.... had enough opportunities to do something but just lacked believe in what they we're doing.

Either sacked tomorrow or one last game to change things but going on tonight's evidence extra game won't make a difference ...
FT 5 nil

FT 5-0

They have a decent squad and shouldn't be losing 5-0 to anyone in that league, even though Ipswich also have a strong squad.

They didn't even look like scoring tonight.

I imagine he'll be gone by this time tomorrow.

Lovely goals from Philogene.

During the club's summer abyss of any information, we were discussing available managers. I repeatedly said I couldn't see what Selles, Cleverly and Gary Croft had done to be constantly promoted as good managers who we should be going after.

To add balance to that discussion, i also couldn't see why a few (very insightful) fans were all in on BBM. :D

Giving Leicester a 10-point head start may be a bit much to haul back and could be calamitous for them, as it takes seasons to get you back on your feet if you don't return to the prem by the second season

No real surprise.

From Play off finalist to losing their first 5 games of the season, a right thrashing at Ipswich, will they recover?

Chris Wilder going back there, three months after being sacked. A bit of a mess.

And we think our club is a joke!

Not a Chris Wilder supporter but he didn’t deserve the sack in the first place, so pleased for him; but he now starts behind the rest with (some) players he wouldn’t have chosen

As for Rubin Selles? He’s been caught lacking; and to think some wanted him here!
