Dylan Lawlor has been recognised for his excellent August form, picking up up the EA Sports FC EFL Young Player of the Month Award.

The Academy graduate has played a key role in the heart of the Bluebirds' defence so far this season, helping City record five clean sheets from six league outings, conceding just once.

Lawlor's fine displays were recognised with a senior Wales debut, where the young defender produced a Man of the Match display in a 1-0 win against Kazakhstan.

Upon receiving his award, Dylan commented: "I've probably had worse months! I've really enjoyed it. I'm buzzing to be a regular at Cardiff City, and then make my international debut.

"The Man of the Match and this is a bonus, but I'm just buzzing to be playing football at senior level. I'm a City fan myself, I've been sat in these stands dreaming of playing on this pitch, so to then get the chance to do it has been unreal."

Great for him and that would be before his debut for Wales.

Brilliant, BBM has brought the best out of the group of youngsters, we need to keep hold of all of them, they will take us back up and further, without spending a lot on players, good times are coming.
