Dylan Lawlor spoke to the press at CCS ahead of City's return to Sky Bet League One action.
"I just want to be playing senior football, so to do that for the Club I've supported all my life, and my own country, it's what dreams are made of. It's incredible." Dylan explained. "You've always got to be ready, because you never know when that first opportunity is going to come. I've definitely felt ready, and I think it's about keeping that going now.
"It's nice to have a good network around you. I like to think I'm quite modest, but when you're having a month like I've had, which has been really positive, it's good to have the family and the support network around you, to remind you first of all where you've come from, and to keep your head down and keep working hard.
"You've always got to have the belief that you can make a start like we have. That stems from the manager and the coaching staff, but also from the players around you - we've got the belief that we can go and get promoted."
Dylan spoke about the impact of Brian Barry-Murphy, and the role he has played in the development of our homegrown talents.
"I think it's been easier for us younger players, because the Academy promotes that style of play - press really high, play out from the back and keep possession. So having a manager like that, who has come in and trusted the players, but has brought in a style of play like that, it's all you could want, really.
"Even when things are going well, he's so demanding in training. The level of training is really good, but when it drops, you'll know - he'll tell you. Personally and as a team, he's really good like that. When you've got a manager like that when you're winning, it makes it a lot easier to go and produce performances and keep winning.
"You don't really see it at other clubs, so to have eight or nine Academy graduates, it's been incredible. It's easy to then look out on the pitch; I'm playing on the right side and next to me I've got Ronan [Kpakio], I've got Joel [Colwill] in midfield and Cian [Ashford] on the right wing - I've done that so many times, so it gives you confidence in the game."
