" BBM and Nathan Trott have been nominated "

Wed Sep 10, 2025 1:26 pm

Brian Barry-Murphy has been nominated for League One Manager of the Month.

Nathan Trott has been nominated for League One Player of the Month.

League One Manager of the Month nominations

Graham Alexander (Bradford City)

In spite of needing to bed in key summer acquisitions including Will Swan and Josh Neufville, Bradford’s promotion-clinching momentum hasn’t stalled with Alexander overseeing a fine unbeaten start of 14 points from six games.

Brian Barry-Murphy (Cardiff City)

Barry-Murphy swept away any negativity following relegation in south Wales by putting his trust in youth and allowing his young team to express themselves freely.

The result was 16 points from six unbeaten games and the leadership of League One.

Grant McCann (Doncaster Rovers)

If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it. McCann’s side surged to the League Two title in May and have picked up serenely, gaining 13 points from six matches, attacking sides in the higher division and demonstrating his players’ absolute belief in him.

Alex Revell (Stevenage)

Revell has masterminded Stevenage’s best-ever start to an EFL season, winning five of their six games thanks to a high press and high fitness levels.

He has added creativity, too, while his side didn’t allow a single shot on target in their three home games.

League One Player of the Month nominations

Owen Bailey (Doncaster Rovers) – midfielder

Doncaster’s captain played in midfield and at right back in August.

Often the team’s deepest-lying player, he showed his happy knack for timing his runs with both goals in the comeback win at Mansfield and winners against Port Vale and Rotherham.

Jamie Reid (Stevenage) – striker

After a blood clot affected his pre-season a year ago, Reid is on fire this campaign with five goals in six games.

His clinical edge was seen with a header against Rotherham and superb control followed by a sweet finish at Port Vale, both winning goals.

Matty Stevens (AFC Wimbledon) – striker

Natural goalscorers are hard to find. Stevens used his positional instincts to score 17 times as Wimbledon won promotion in May and added four more in August, all of which gave his side the lead in games. He also contributed an assist.

Nathan Trott (Cardiff City) - goalkeeper

Brought in after the first match of the season, Trott conceded no goals in five games for his new side.

Very calm in his penalty area and with his feet, he is a superb shot-stopper, as he showed with two brilliant saves in the 1-0 win at Luton.

I'd agree, and Colwill, Lawlor, and Kapacio are all above the other players of the month, finalised. If they had them, we'd also win team of the month and fans of the month.

Alex Revell has done a great job at Stevenage so if BBM doesn't get I hope its Revell. All I can remember about him at the City was his goal away at Brentford. He didnt get many for us.

I’ll be honest.

I’m very, very surprised Rubin has not been nominated!
