Our Squad is Small and BBM has Said that’s how he wants it??
So NO excuses, Tiredness or injuries etc please :
It’s a Fact all this happens and it’s the same for every Club:
We already have injuries and Tanner / King out for a long time.
More will come, plus Suspensions / illness etc
International Call ups:
Just look and this is Septembers Fixtures and still good weather:
Plus Our first Vertu Trophy fixture will take place at Exeter City on Tuesday, September 16th, 7pm kick-off.

I Honestly don’t believe Murphy did not want more players to join us
So far I am very very impressed with Murphy.
But I believe he will need more players, I really really hope I am proved wrong.

I hope a few go to Exeter. I'll be there with my boy. I happen to think our whole squad now bar one or two are 1st team ready so in effect we shouldnt put out too.much of a weaker squad

Can only think he believes there is enough additional talent in the academy. A lot of successful teams work on a small squad with talent throughout main 25. There is always January as well if injuries do pile up

Luckily we’ve rested for a week but this could be a game to play some fringe players.

He's towing the company line which you can't blame him for tan is his boss at the end of the day. We do have cover for every position except left back so it's quite a well balanced if not small squad

Only time will tell if this small squad is enough.
this is why I'm staying reserved to our good start. So far we are on track to avoid relegation.

Perhaps it’s just the way he prefers to operate. Pep complained a lot last season about too big a squad restricting chances for younger players and even senior world class players missing out on game time.
I imagine it would be hard to keep some important players happy with a bigger squad, mix that with the owner not wanting to spend anymore and it’s so far been a good mix.
If he can keep the squad injury free, we could finally start making money as a club

I agree with BBM and squad even with the two long term injuries looks strong with exception of left back. Bagan has been brilliant and needs to keep fit until Jan.

I think that BBM believes the U21's are the deep sqaud.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Mafico & Giles having 12~ 17 appearances, Troy Perret, Jac Thomas & Mannie Barton having half a dozen.
We upgraded the U21s a bit in the window

We still have two players for every position so I'm satisfied with the size of the squad.
Our squad last season was way too big. BBM wanted a small squad this season and I think we have enough to get us through to January.
January window is only four months away and we can revisit things then if we need to.

This will be a true test of the squad, lots of games and we’re likely to lose at least one. How we bounce back from defeat (or even conceding a goal) will tell us a lot.

It’s what always worried me annis, and that’s why I haven’t got carried away with the start we’ve had tbh, surely BBM got to look at the free agent market to get one or 2 in to beef the squad out a bit,September is a really busy month to one or 2 injuries from having a really small squad

Yes I trust him to get enough from whoever is drafted in if/when needed.
