so glad we both kept the faith with him as lots did' nt ,
we always said he was worth and valued in big millions we where laughed at on here,
he just had shite guidence,
riza had him on the wing and previous bulut would not play him bbm has man managed him as he is used to youngsters its all carrot stick, arm around, word in an ear so pleased for the lad and he had a lot of critics and abuse on here.
Onward and upward Rubin and take joe with you on your journey.

since rubin was made vice captain he as really stepped up his performance this season and fully deserves all the plaudits he is getting keep !!!

Rubin is the epitome of what proper supporters want from their club’s academy, and it’s so good to watch him develop into the player we all hoped he could be!
Like you, I was always on his side, and I recall his early issues with his sudden ‘
growing pains’ developmental issues. But I also recall the day he showed the talent he has with a goal to remember in front of the Bluebird faithful in that cup game v Liverpool at Anfield!
Great run, great control, great finish! For me, the result didn’t matter in the end, as I will always recall Rubin’s goal at that iconic venue!
Thankfully, there are more coming out of our academy and brother Joel is showing the same levels of promise, too!

I don't think anybody or not many gave up on him, but quite a few including me said a move might do him good & a new manager has come in & unlocked something in him that we all knew was there, if inconsistently, and hopefully he continues on the path BBM has sent him down. He's been the most consistent he's ever been so far this season & long may it continue.

I don't think anyone doubted he had the quality, his issue was consistency. It's taken a new manager and a drop in leagues for him to show it, he's currently the main man and the majority of our good play goes through him. He didn't have that last season.
The appointment of Riza and the delay in getting rid of Riza has set the club back a year.
It's currently helping us though as our academy players are getting experience of senior football together and they are relishing it, whether they would have had the same opportunities in the Championship is anyone's guess.

Nobody laughed at anyone for backing Rubin. Nobody abused him either. He had his critics yes, including me. At the time he deserved the criticism because he needed a rocket up his ass to unlock his full potential that we all knew he had. BBM seems to have done that for now. Let’s hope he continues his form and doesn’t drop off.

It's a great story but important to remember that Calum Chambers is the club captain, Rubin is vice captain.
But as we've seen so far this season, Chambers hasn't been starting many matches and Rubin has been a great captain on the pitch. With the signing of Osho and the fact that Robertson will be coming into midfield, it's likely that will remain the case.
As for Rubin, I've been very sceptical about him for a while now. Always had the ability but had to show consistently. You could argue the reason that didn't happen was managers didn't trust him.
This manager has shown a lot of trust in Rubin.
His teammates also obviously trust him because they voted for him to be vice captain.
He's had a very good start, albeit in a lower league to what he's used to, and he is showing the consistency I've craved.
I'm not as bothered as others about him not being in the Wales squad because it's not that beneficial for him to go all the way to Kazakhstan or play a friendly against Canada. If he keeps up this form, his time will come.
Long may this good form continue.

Monty, I have to be honest and say that I was losing patience with him a season or two ago as he seemed very lazy and a one trick pony but I’m pleased to say that I’ve been proved wrong. Just shows what a new coach can do eh

I wasn't is biggest fan, I thought he was lazy, I take it all back what a player Cardiff have here, he is a different player, Joel is bouncing off him, he too is improving every game.
Glad we have them.

Always knew this kid was going to be quality , could see it in flashes now n then and the odd great goal , it was only a matter of time till things fell into place for him , and then comes in BBM , what a fantastic manager this guy could be for these youngsters , Rubin is only going to get better under him
