Lawler or Fish for Osho, Colwill, Ashford or Willock for Kellyman?
Where do Robertson, Tanner, and Turnbull fit in?
Nice problems to have, it does seem harsh to break up that back unit, they've been incredible, we are going to have a strong first team and bench

Hard but I’d drop lawlor and I’d drop Ashford (easier choice to make imo)

Difficult, but I think I agree if Willock keeps it up, he looks like a different player lately.

Horses for courses I think. Depends on opposition and form as we have some similar level players but have their own qualities.
This being said we haven’t brought in osho and kellyman to sit on the bench
I can see lawlor rotating with fish so as not to flog him too much.
Tue Sep 02, 2025 11:58 am
I think with injuries and suspensions this will sort itself out.

with the amount of games we have to play in the various competitions there will definitely be rotation. I honestly don't think we'll ever know the strongest 11 as players form will drop/rise. great problem to have i suspect bbm will try and play his strongest side in the league but that strongest side may also vary depending on home/away and opposition. glad it's his problem not mine.

Change nothing until needed. We're on fire. Earn your spot.

It’s a strange place to be for CCFC where we didn’t need to panic buy & the players we brought in, that look to be quality aren’t even guaranteed starts!
Kellyman + Osho would appear to be sure in across every other league 1 squad, but are not guaranteed in ours! What a place to be
One thing is for sure, we’re going to have an outrageous bench
Wed Sep 03, 2025 10:12 am
We'll rotate wingers and midfielders as and when. I don't see us rotating at the back. Osho is going in the team probably with Lawlor as BBM was swapping Fish and Chambers the first couple of games.
Wed Sep 03, 2025 10:38 am
I've had a chance to think it through, and it looks like after a few weeks to settle, they and Robertson (like having a new player) will all become starters. Osho for Fish, Robertson for J Colwill, and Kellyman for Ashford, although they'll have to work hard to dislodge them all.
As others above have said, there will be rotations and injuries, but the squad on paper at least looks pretty strong.

The new players will obviously need to get up to speed first. BBM picks on how well they train so it’s up to them then to force their way in

When everyone's fit:
Trott
Kpakio Lawlor Osho Bagan
Robertson Turnbull Rubin
Kellyman Salech Willock

Would give as a super strong bench as well
Turner
Fish
NG
Wintle
J. Colwill
Tanner
Robinson
Which still leaves, Davies, Ashford, Chambers, nakhuywa, mafico who have all played first team minutes and I've probably forgotten 1 or 2 others
Wed Sep 03, 2025 6:14 pm
We will be strong with 25 mins to go with the bench we got , whoever plays

Unfair on Lawlor and Wintle especially with the clean sheets, but Osho and Kellyman haven’t joined to sit on the bench.
Personally, given Robertson’s pre-season performances, I’d much rather Joel keep his place. I think his contribution to the side is underestimated. His energy in breaking up play is awesome.
One hell of a bench though.
Wed Sep 03, 2025 7:10 pm
I don't see Wintle being dropped he's done everything asked of him and it's not clear if anyone else in the squad can play that role as well as he has.
Thu Sep 04, 2025 9:36 am
If joel gets game time against canada i xan see him reverting to the be h and either Turnbull or Robertson or even cahambers starting. And i would start Fish over Lawlor
Thu Sep 04, 2025 10:53 am
I wouldn't drop any of the current 11 as they're gelling so well. Injuries happen though, so only then would i change the lineup. It's also a shame we can only have 7 subs in this league, but i suppose it's more fair on smaller clubs this way

Trott
Kpakio Lawlor Osho Bagan
Turnbull Wintle Rubin
Kellyman Salech Willock
Very harsh on Fish who has been superb, Ashford has been improving and I expect our wingers will rotate quite regularly.
Maybe Robertson will come in for Wintle but im not sure I've seen anything to suggest Robertson can play that role better than Wintle, although I do expect Robertson to be better than he was last season under BBM.

Not being negative but I'm not sure how so many can include Kellyman based on grainy YouTube clips of youth games.
If that's the case, we should include Troy Perrett as he is ripping up U21s. She Ojo was a big-money England U15, U16, U18, and U21 schoolboy transfer to a big team, and he eventually found his level in the Slovakian league.
We have had loads of these high-reputation kids from big teams, and with the exception of Eddie Newton, how many have gone on to better things?
Unless we make a final, i doubt he'll ever know his best 11, as i kind of guess BBM goes on current form rather than past, so every team he puts out is his best 11.

Ashford and I still don't rate Willock

Willock has been brilliant in the last two matches. Arguably a contender for MOTM in both.
If he keeps that up, he becomes undroppable.

I agree but Ashford hasn’t been great imo

Yeah I agree about Ashford. Has had good moments but has also struggled at times.
Kellyman obviously on the bench for now but as time goes on, I think he'll take Ashford's place in the team.

Yeh I agree with that. Not sure whether in the short term, Davies could start on the right though he does favour the left and cutting in on his right.

Yes he's improved. Scored a really good goal at Luton but no way has he been brilliant, just an improvement imo.

The game v Exeter will give a few more players game time and more options for the manager .
