I can see why.

Imagine if we could get him fit? Imagine him as the guy all these lads look up to? Imagine them learning from him in training, in the dressing room etc.

Pay as you play or massively reduced wage obviously.

As much as I admire Ramsey for being such a wonderful footballer during his career, there is no way given his injury record would I have extended his contract, even on a pay as you play basis (does this even exist ?).

Can you imagine how disruptive it would be to the team's momentum and morale if one of the players had to make way to accommodate Ramsey on those odd occasions when he was fit.

Good luck to him in Mexico but I for one am glad he is no longer with us.

I mean Wintle is the fulcrum and being used as someone to receive the ball and move it on. Also then he pops up with that goal v Plymouth. He’s hardly mobile.

True but Wintle has been clattered a few times aswell, I dont believe Ramsey would have been as quick to get up

I think Ramsey is prone to muscle type injuries rather than knock injuries. I’m sure they had an idea why that was the case.
