“ TWO CARDIFF PLAYERS GO OUT “

Mon Sep 01, 2025 12:22 pm

Both these loans have now been confirmed.

They're both on loan until January

Cardiff City duo Morgan Wigley aged 21 to Barry United and Isaac Jefferies aged 20 has gone on loan TNS.

My View is at their ages they should off made it by now with us, so going to the Welsh League, I can’t see them making it now.

Newport County, Cheltenham or say Swindon would have been way better.

But best of luck.

It is understood that both Tanatswa Nyakuhwa and Luey Giles could seal loan exits before the window closes

Maybe they'll prove me wrong, but I don't see them having much of a future if they can only get those clubs.

Would prefer them to go to L2 or even English non league.

Hopefully they prove me wrong though, it is better than just playing U21 matches.

Nyakuhwa and Giles linked with loans but they're only allowed to go if we strengthen in those positions.

Already rejected a few loan offers for Nyakuhwa.

With you all the way Ned,

It’s been proven time and time again going to the Welsh League has not been helpful to our players or us.

Could it be to help Welsh league clubs? Can't see rfl clubs loaning out players to it and they do need bit of quality coming in at clubs! But agree not best place to develope young talent so guess these two wont make it at city that's why gone Welsh league to help clubs there.

Agree Annis , dont see the point of loaning out to the welsh league as its a poor standard ,theyd be better off in league 2 or national league team or send them up to merthyr who play a better standard

Allan,

What ever reason it does not help improve our players as this has been the case for the last 15 years.

If anything, them getting game time with older players has potential to mature their individual game is a benefit for their futures.

We thought same about a young rob earnshaw going to play at Scottish club.
Think he made only a couple of appearances but still scored a few up there.

Annis dropping to a league that is conference North/South at best is not going to help them develop as much as if was in div2 .... who's going to notice them in Welsh league? Be interesting to see how bbm views them at end season.

You can't make clubs take them !!!

The club has a duty to educate and prepare them for lives outside professional football. They need to get form in the book in mens football as U21 is pointless as an indicator.

Hopefully one of them kicks on in that environment, giving them a chance to get a non-league/semi-pro contract and at least get in the football pyramid when we inevitably release them.
