I want to say that I never would WANT us to get relegated from any league - last years drop was a painful one to accept
However, every year we were crying out for a "new start" so to speak - shift deadwood, get a decent manager - new owners etc
Now, apart from the owners we've actually been able to achieve the other two points and honestly I think it has turned out to be a very good thing for the club
When I saw the starting XI against Peterborough I was shocked and worried for the season but the academy lads have done brilliant, followed by a very good manager capable of getting the best out of players
I would also have not got rid of the likes of Ralls, Rinomhota, Daland, O'dowda, Horvath, Goutas etc because I thought that they were the ones to take us forward but perhaps they were the ones holding us back?
Anyway, onwards and upwards one season at a time
Hopefully the Cardiff we all know and love is on the up

I would have liked to seen O’Dowda stay but can’t really fault what’s happened

Yeah I said that back end of the season.
We were a flailing club. This is our chance to get some momentum.

Best thing that could happen.

Not sure relegation was a good thing, but finding the right manager is proving wonderful!

Getting right manager for championship is hard to do not sure how well he would have done with youngsters he's got.... certainly not gone unbeaten may not have been relegated but would be close... but given how well they've adapted to bbm things look rosey for this and next season if get promoted..... relegation not what we wanted but could be what was needed to reset.... get relegated and there's a buzz about the club instead of doom and gloom? Football is a funny old game isn't it?

A few on here said this was needed 2 seasons ago that we need to drop down and rid most of the team and start a fresh , and holy shit I think they were right , time will tell but what a start

Nobody ever needs relegation. It might well end up being a blessing in disguise but to say we needed it is ridiculous.
We didn't get rid of the players previously because you can't just get rid of people in football when they have a contract, unless they are paid in full & agree to go, so we could have got rid of the same players whatever league we were in this season.

I was not happy we went down - But by going down and getting those players out and allowing the youngsters to play ...
Will be worth it if we go straight back up and will give the Club - players - manager and ourselves something to shout about .

Not for me! Relegation is rarely ‘good’ for a club; and ours is not one!
The incoming of BBM is a (so far) ‘positive’ byproduct of our relegation and it may well yet prove to be the genuine ‘reset’ we have needed for some seasons, but I would much rather be plying our trade in the Championship than having a ‘good’ season in League One right now!
We are a much ‘bigger’ than our current League One position and the ‘blame’ is firmly on our owner; albeit he may have fallen in the (proverbial) dung heap and come out somewhat smelling of roses on this occasion!

We could not go on and on struggling every season, fans were fed up and not enjoying going anymore.
As long as we go up this season, a DEF YES

That’s the key.

Would the reset have been able to happen in the championship?
It’s something we can’t really prove either way tbh.

Very true I don't think a reset would happen I'm championship I believe we would be struggling with inexperienced players ..in div 1 they've had room to progress as teams not as good as championship .... think headline is wrongly worded hence the misrepresentation of what is said...

I do believe a reset would have happened. Everypne was saying the players we had were good enought just badly managed.

That was before most left we have very few of those players now? Possibly reset is wrong word its more like change of direction being as we've got youngest team in many a year... but the apparent success of this season would not have happened if in championship.

If we hadn't been in real danger of relegation we would probably still have Riza as manager and things would have stayed the same year after year.
