From the Plymouth site

I copied this from the Plymouth site. Funny thing is, when we beat them 5–0 last year, only three of that starting XI were in today’s side — NG, R. Colwill and C. Robinson — with three more on the bench: J. Bagan, W. Fish, and C. Willock. But of course, supporters can always dig out an excuse when things don’t go their way!

Let's not go overboard about this result.
Cardiff kept the bulk of all their players from last season.
They have played a season together and are in tune with how they play.
They have only let in 1 (ONE) goal so far, and that was a penalty, so their defence are very much on top.
How would we have got on without losing our players from last season?
We have brought in development players, they haven't.
We have brought in inexperienced Academy players, they haven't.
Let's not go overboard, fellas. It was always going to be difficult from the start.
We will improve as time goes on.

All very noble… but funny how “reasons” always sound a lot like excuses when the scoreline doesn’t go your way. Maybe next time they’ll keep it simple and just say Cardiff were the better team.

That’s hilarious.

Have they not kept track on the departures we have had and that 2 of the back 4 are under 20? All under 25.

I read that also we had more academy players than them playing.

They are well off the mark.
