Has Purse done a good job?

Been here since 2021 so I’d say probably all of the kids have played under him.

No.

Kpakio, Lawlor, Mafico etc are naturally good players and have improved under the manager we have now. Because he genuinely does improve young players. Look at the difference in Ashford and Rubin particularly.

They weren't given a chance under previous managers so Purse clearly didn't pitch them to those managers.

On the pitch, BBM now dictates everything. Purse is irrelevant because the style of play, youth progression and academy promotion is decided by BBM.

Nope. I’ve watched a couple of games of his and the football has been awful every time. I’d imagine we would bring through a lot more quality with a better u23 manager set up

He has done an incredible job . He is there to develop young players to go into the first team and that’s exactly what he has done

How can you say that anyone involved in our academy haven't done a good job?

Credit is certainly due for the development of our very promising group of young lads who played under his leadership in the past couple of years.
Whether a development team wins or loses, these lads football skills and knowledge have grown under Purse and his team, resulting in the success we now see for the first team.
It cannot be totally accredited to BBM's few short weeks at the club.

Yes, Purse, Chesterfield, and Bellamy have given Barry M plenty of talented youngsters, and their results have far exceeded those of other local associations.

Barry M has clearly taken them on and developed them to another level. Everyone connected also deserves credit. They take the criticism when things go wrong, so it works both ways when it’s going right.

How many of the current u21 graduates have come out and given Purse any sort of praise for their development at all?? However a few have praised Chesterfield, says it all for me

Must say that him and the other coaches on the sidelines last season disgusted me at times with the way they pratted about while we were fighting against relegation.

Saying that though, u've gotta give Purse credit coz he's oversaw the development of all these youngsters that have come through our system. The fact that BBM have kept in on suggests he's good at his job.
