Bellamy on Colwill:
“He was very close - and his brother as well. I’ve been impressed by them both. It’s the consistency, I’m enjoying what I’m seeing at the moment and I want it to continue.”

He's full of shit in my opinion he needs to be honest and say he doesn't fancy rubin as a player
There's players in that squad who's only consistency is being sat on there clubs bench week in week out so Bellamys comments of consistency must only apply to rubin

I’m with you on this mate.

Rubin certainly couldn't have done any more. Weird.
Joel would have been a shock, for me.

colwill has been just as consistent as any one of those he has picked
the season has only just started and other than port vale
(which no one played well in)
rubin has been one of the best players on the pitch every game
can't say the same about half of those players Bellamy has picked and some of them are playing I the same league as us
why is he talking about consistency
when some of those players he picked have only played one or two games this season?
or is Bellamy picking them for what they did last season
something just don't add up

Bellamy is wrong not to pick them both...but, look at a selfish side, they will get a rest and no chance of getting injured, so there are positives for Cardiff.

Well he's the Wales manager & you're not so he gets to pick the team. He can't please all of the people all of the time & there's always going to players who are disappointed. As for Rubin, we're 5 games into the season & he has had his most consistent 5 games in his career so far & there's no doubt if he keeps this up he will not only be included but will be one of the first names on the team sheet and could one day captain the team.

When most of you were throwing pelters at Rubin, I have been defending him, but let be honest, he has played well in 6 out of 6 games this season or 6 in 50 if you include last season.
I am selfish and glad he is not travelling a third of the way around the world or playing in Jackland. Feet up young man.

People forget we’re in League One and Rubin is 23 now, probably aged out of the “young player who gets taken along but isn’t going to play role”.
In his position he has players like Brooks, Wilson, Cullen who are playing frequently at a higher level. It’s just the way it is.

Cullen shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as rubin in my opinion, rubin is levels above him in footballing ability, Cullen runs around a lot but he's very average

** Cullen runs around a lot but he's very average**
Bingo!
That’s the type of players Bellamy likes. Players that run around all game busting a gut putting pressure on the opposition when out of possession. I just don’t think Rubin suits Bellamys style.

I would put money on it if we had a breakdown of which player has run more milage this season, rubin wins hands Down, the amount of closing down he does during games this season is insane so the argument Cullen does more running is invalid

I Havnt been able to watch much this season so I couldn’t comment on that. A lot of people have said how much Rubin has improved start of this season. Which sounds great. I’m pretty much basing it off what I’ve seen of him last couple of seasons. Probably what Bellamy means by the consistency side of things too. He’s probably waiting for him to drop off with his performances but hopefully he carries on his good start and Bellamy can then trust him to include him.

Yeah I think that's a fair comment.
We all have blue blinkers on and are disappointed that Rubin didn't make the cut.
But if he carries on like he has, he'll get his chance.

As Wales fan do we need both Harris and Cullen when you could have Ruban who offers something very different.
Over the first 5/6 games he has earned his place for selection by being one of if not the best performers in league 1.
Bellamys excuse for not selecting him in the past has been his work rate. Well we can all agree that can't be labelled at him now.
If he carries on he will get his chance but still doesn't change he deserves to attend this camp.
I hope he has a stormer against Plymouth to prove the point!!
