Transfer Window CCFC ?

Tue Aug 26, 2025 9:12 am

Transfer Window shuts 7pm This Monday coming Sept 1st.

What would you like to see happen at CCFC?

BBM has had a great start and we have played great football:

The energy from the current players is second to none.

We are loving the football and the belief is finally back.

But Injuries are already starting, Suspensions will start soon, Winter will be here.

15 players out and 1 Excellent player in Nathan Trott.

But to stay Top We need these 3-4 other players in this week.

BBM Says Tan is fully backing him?? ?

Mehmet Dalman said 3 weeks again that 3 players were all lined up for the following week

Brian Barry-Murphy has said on Numerous Occasions that he wants and will be bringing in 3-4 High Quality Players:

We’ve made a great start.
Surely Tan isn’t stupid enough to realise that we just need 3-4 quality players (even if some are loans) to push on rather than fall away if we have injuries or suspensions. Hopefully he was just waiting to see how we started but who knows with him!!
I think we need a seasoned centre back, a left back, a winger and a striker with some pace.

Monty we surely are allowed to discuss what we want and need?

If We are to continue our fantastic start BBM needs backing with quality players coming in Now.

Were definitely cutting it fine now but I still believe we will get 3 in before the window closes and if there all of a similar quality as trott I'll be happy

BBM has worked wonders with what he has and its enjoyable. I was worried with his appt, but if we keep going the way we are then he'll go onto better things.

The fans can support BBM. Will the board though back him. If nothing else HE DESERVES IT

I'm with you all the way 1962.

We could even drop the centre back if Daland stays...see we aint even being greedy or unrealistic as fans, we're just being sensible and reasonable (too words that don't seem to make it into Tans vocab range).

Surely BBM needs to be backed?I think dalman tried pulling the wool over fans eyes again by saying oh we’ve got 3 players lined up,and I think they may use the excuse oh bbm wanted quality over quantity screams to me we ain’t backing you you can just have what we can find on the cheap hope I’m wrong and they do back him

If we can get 3 players in now and maybe 2/3 in Jan I think we be up the top end of season

Jury still out on Daaland for me mate I’d rather a no nonsense CB like Morrison or Purse (the player) but my fear is that BBM may look at whether they can play in the first instance rather than whether they can defend.

Re: Transfer Window CCFC ?

I agree we definitely need 3/4 players to give the squad some depth. Could part of the problem be we are looking for players at least as good as those currently playing but are prepared to come and not be going to walk straight into the team. For the first time in many years we need squad players.

Re: Transfer Window CCFC ?

I really hope that Tan and the board are awake to the fact that BBM is first and foremost looking to carve out his career in football management. They look to have struck gold(which feels like complete luck, considering their previous failings) with BBM and CCFC now have a real chance to have an incredibly successful season.

BBM highlighted the potential of this squad from day one as his reason for taking this opportunity on. Practically everything BBM has touched so far has turned to gold, integrated youth into a re-energised squad, and has them playing excellently. What more evidence do the board need to back him by investing in those 3 or 4 quality additions that he's highlighting? (I'm not in board meetings, maybe there is a willingness to spend on talent and it really does come down to availability.. but only targeting loans would suggest a lack of investment)

It would be the biggest own goal of the Tan era if having brought BBM to the club, we lost him next year to upper championship/ lower premier league who simply were willing to back him to invest in his football ideology.

2 incentives for current investment: 1. Turning potential into a serious promotion charge & 2. BBM's long term future at the club when the higher leagues begin sacking their managers.

If nothing comes in that will be probably our worse transfer window in recent years ,
and now we have a opportunity to push on it would be criminal not to have backed murphy but as I have been told time and time again there is still time.

100% agree with this Annis.
I agree with your last sentence even if we have a double promotion! They both must go, whatever happens!! :bluescarf:

It will be the wurst in our history.

Monty after 15 players out and even money in, wages reduced drastically.

I do believe they will sign players, but BBM hands are probably tied on how good the players can be and that’s making it harder for him.

I think the big debate on this would be whether it’s a topic to bring up almost every day?

We’ve been told there will be incomings, we’ve been told they will be ‘quality’ (for this League), and we’ve also been told that these deals can be complicated by (a) the parent team’s late window assessment of their own squad, and (b) the number of other teams looking at the same players

Having had a few games to assess his squad in match conditions, BBM will now be far better placed to know his needs for this season, so for me, midnight next Monday is the time to judge

I’m confident we will have players in, but if we don’t, I will have plenty to say at that point! :laughing6: :ayatollah:

Re: Transfer Window CCFC ?

Tue Aug 26, 2025 10:42 am

To me it's clear.

Tan will not authorise any spending on signings, loans or wages.

Our good start will have persuaded him that the squad we have now will be good enough to gain promotion.

He will expect any injuries and suspensions to be covered by utilising more youngsters.

Re: Transfer Window CCFC ?

Tue Aug 26, 2025 10:43 am

We need 3 or 4, that's always been my view and it's unchanged.

Hope we get them in by 7pm on Monday.

Talk on social media that a CB could be coming in permanently tomorrow. Let's hope that's true.

Re: Transfer Window CCFC ?

Tue Aug 26, 2025 11:37 am

I'm just abit fed-up of people saying wait till end of the window because prem teams not set yet I'm sorry if you have a list of what position you require and its not like bbm ditched the clubs list for his own so my question if we sign no one who do we blame? Tan or bbm because he was to choosey I'm not confidence either way if we let daland go and sign no one we are in trouble simples as that we paid 3 point 5 million for daland don't think he's really been given a chance even under riza or am I wrong and he's not worth that?
