Always had a mistake in every game, had the right attitude, still only 24. A lot of fans look at the Arsenal connection and think he can play, he can't. He is a younger Aiden Flint.

Completely agree with this, honest battling defender but lacked quality and always had an error in him. Best bit of selling we have done in a long time. I think Fish could be a much superior defender

McGuinness fitted the profile of our team at the time in that he has great aerial ability. However, hes a limited player with his feet. I think Fish and Lawlor have way more long term potential. The clubs transfer committee get hammered on this board but perhaps they got this one right. That said, when he left our back four was shocking last year.

He got a bad virus on tour in Slovenia and hasn't fully recovered.

McGuinness and Goutas for me had the same weakness in that they would overly commit to blocking a shot which more often than not left them on their arses after the attacking player had faked it. They both lunge towards where they think the ball will go and when they get it wrong its a free shot on goal for the attacking team. Both were good in the air but with players running at them, both were a liability.
Yesterday that was classic McGuinness for our goal.

I think everyone's been waiting for willock to have one decent game since he joined us I'm hoping we will see the convince in him. Come threw now as we now need him to deliver because of injuries he was never a fans fav here because he never showed anything
