“ WE MUST GET PROMOTION THIS SEASON “

Fri Aug 22, 2025 11:57 am

We cannot afford to spend another season in this division I (3) would fear loosing all our quality players,

what a shame tan cannot see this we need to spend, or bring in the quality we need to do this,
and what the f.ck are the other 2 numpties doing are they not bothered?

1 in London the other on his yacht not one word from the 3 of them about ambition absolutly nothing,
usually dalhman trots out some sort of statement.

Down to the wire again in the transfer window the pattern never changes,

I was so hopeful of the takeover and the rug has been pulled from under me,

thank god murphy is getting a tune out of what we have, and to date i have been enjoying the football,
but unless we build our squad we are going to fail no way are the likes of rubin salec going to avoid injury or suspension.

Our owners are so bloody frustrating to the point I could explode with there short sightedness.

So far Monty I have enjoyed the beginning of the season:

But I stand by this, Their is NO Proper / Real Backing from the Hierarchy.

And YES 110% WE HAVE TO BE PROMOTED THIS SEASON

Or otherwise then every season gets more difficult and we lose supporters

Spot on Chris.... wheres this review we were promised in the Summer. Weve not heard from Tan since his AI based message quite a while after relegation.

If this junta have any desire affinity or ambition for the club they should be at every game, between them. If they dont come because theyre scared of the fan response they will get, then they are cowards and, clearly know, that they have done wrong, and dont want to be held accountable.

They realise they have no supporters and are hanging on for dear life to the gravy train.

I know we say this every season but the silence really is deafening as i say dalman has usual spouted out some drivel bla bla but nothing what happened to, we need to engage more with the fans?.

JONNY

Cannot work it out they have money invested with us, surely they want to make money not loose it,
we must be the worse run club in the football league over the period of 15 years they gave been in charge they have failed misrably in there ambition to make us a premier club and to establish us as a big cub we are now playing with the minnows no disrespect to them,
but twice they have failed to keep us in the prem doing it on the cheap short sighted ,speculate to accumulate,

we are probably a good advert of, how not to run a football club,
what an accolade.

Well we've made a decent start.

I agree time is running out but always said I'd judge it when the window closes.

We are all hoping something comes in thats a given,
not worth talking about it after the window has closed and nothing in,
murphy knows this is on him because he ripped up the transfer list .

My argument is there's no point getting worked up about it before the window has closed. By the end of the window we will know our squad.

I have no inside information but I will be shocked if we don't sign anyone and I trust BBM that it will be quality additions.

We will see.

Young Owen 26 has been loaned out every season, or back to his first club crewe since 2018 he has been around, clubs have not wanted to keep him is thus the quality guy or an unfilled for tanner?

I said in another thread I don't think this guy is any better than what is here already and would be slightly dissapointed if this is the type of quality signing we have been waiting this long for

I'd say similar but I trust the manager's judgement and will not pre-judge any potential signing before they've played for us.

Some wrote off Trott just because he'd had a lot of loans but he seems decent so far.

Surely we won’t sign a player like Owen, not really wanted anywhere and goes from club to club and still only 26.

If this happens I will say it now.

Sounds like Desperation and No backing at all.

And certainly not Quality, never mind high quality

Average rating of 6.9 in his loan in this league last season which is pretty good.

Like I said, I'm not going to write off players before they even sign or play.

Each to their own though.

I agree and will always give any player who pulls on the blue shirt my full backing and I'm sure he will be an adequate player for league 1

I just believed we had set our sights on a higher caliber of player due to the time we have been waiting and the narrative being put out from bbm and the club

Whether they where his or not or good enough or not, my point was he wanted to go his own way and own it, so it's on his head what comes in or out,
he stated a few times it's quality over quantity so until these players come in jury is out on this disscsion,
I am not question his management of what he has infriont of him he' s doing a good job on that,
but I would add we have played a lot of the lower teams so far tomorrow will be our first test against equal opposition.

Bit harsh to call Wimbledon a lower team. Unlucky to lose to Luton and had won their two other games before they played us.

They were in good form.

I agree that Rotherham and Peterborough are poor teams and tomorrow is a real test.

But other clubs in the league and will be impressed so far about us.

Monty totally agree our club has been run so badly , probably the worst in the football league considering the money spent before and the crazy mad decisions over the years and split the fan base ,constant lies . And now again silence from them , are we buying players??? We all want to know what’s going on , but no just leave us all in the dark again , cannot wait till we have new owners , please the sooner the better for the sanity of alot of our fans

Honestly not trying to be confrontational, they are weak teams. Also agree that Luton is the biggest test so far.

But wanted to make the point that Wimbledon away will be tough for a lot of teams.

We are where we are because we've been run on a shoestring for years since the prem slide down payment ended each year since then we have gone with total unexceptional managers without experience the list is now endless even bbm is a gamble whatever anyone says about him so far so good but I'm still not convinced he has 10/ 12 games to show me that he's the one to take us forward I've seen this all before being following city since 1968 so you can imagine the amount of crap I've had to live with if no one is signed I don't want people to tell me bbm knows what he's doing because it's obvious he doesn't we need reinforcements end of no excuses

Agree with the criticism of the hierarchy.

But saying that the manager doesn't know what he's doing is laughable, we've won three and drawn one from the first four.

You're blinded because of your hatred of Tan, like many on here.

But saying that the manager doesn't know what he's doing is laughable, we've won three and drawn one from the first four.

You're blinded because of your hatred of Tan, like many on here.

Unfortunately your incorrect about my hatred of tan he keeps the club going pays the bills stops us being another morcombe or Sheffield Wednesday plus many other clubs that have fallen I'm a cardiff fan whose seen it all and that includes with inexperinced managers the only success we've had last was with warnock he wasn't everyones cup of tea but he took a team struggling in championship that took them up the following season to the prem
So excuse me for being doubtful on another inexperinced manager he has to prove he's the one as far as I'm concerned because of the way the clubs been run I'd say last 5 years talking about warnock not being everyone's cup of tea he done it he proved you get want you pay for on the tin bbm good Start in league one it's not a great league so far let's be honest we obviously the big time Charlie's here everyone wants to beat us so bbm jury's still out

Agree with the criticism of the hierarchy.

You're in denial. At least we're playing football.

Would have pulled by eyeballs out if someone like Nathan Jones had been our manager.

Just enjoy the fact that we're doing well
