Rising Cardiff City star Dylan Lawlor is in "active talks" with the club over extending his current deal, head coach Brian Barry-Murphy has confirmed.

The 19 year old has done excellent so far this season.


Cardiff triggered a year's option on his deal, meaning his current contract expires in June 2026. It means he is free to talk to foreign clubs from January as things stand.

Discussions should of happened in May / June but they were not so BBM is now talking to Lawlor.

We simply have to get this sorted before January, when he can speak to other clubs.

He will be worth millions in a few years.

If we lose him for nothing then it'll be another massive failing by the hierarchy.

Get him tied down to a long contract 4yr going to be a big player for us

I thought there was a lot of wailing a few weeks ago that he was out of contract?
