Ollie Tanner will be out for at least 4 Months:

"Ollie has damaged ligaments in his ankle, pretty severely, and there is a small fracture in his fibula, so he will be out of action for four months," Brian Barry-Murphy

Makes reinforcements even more vital than they already were.

Will Tan loosen the purse strings? Hmm....

A few more days to find out.

David,

Some tell us off for wanting to add players  despite 14 leaving and 3 more leaving at least .

Bbm also said there's no need to go out sign a replacement makes me think are we actually going to sign anyone hmm

This is why I was shocked when people were acting like 3 players would be enough cover, when we had 14 leaving.

Yes, our starting 11 and bench is strong enough for this league.

But when you add in injuries, suspensions and fatigue, we are nowhere near where we need to be depth wise.

4 games in and we’ve already lost a player for at least 4 months.

Lets stop pretending the lack of incomings is okay, we need them asap! Anyone who says otherwise isn’t putting the club first.

Slightly worried if BBM genuinely believes that.

Horrible news for Ollie - second broken bone in 2025! Chasing down lost causes. Bleeds blue this boy. Hope he comes back even stronger

Gutted for him.

He was really starting to make the wing position his own. He's got youth on his side though, 4 months might become 3, you never know.

Willock the warrior it is then FFS!

ANNIS

We know more where leaving 4 keepers and daland maybe daland
Robertson so maybe 17/18 out

And yes we have all been told to be patient, i said months ago we have 5/6 games in august and needed to have players ready to go and here we are near the end of the window no outfield players and injuries are starting,
wait till rubin and salec get injured and if we have no cover we as usual will be going with what we got .but others are confident on the last day of the window we will get players in, but are they the "quality" murphy said we where getting after ripping up the transfers policy.

Dreadful news and I wish him well in his recovery.

Such a shame because he seems to be one who has really benefitted from this new manager and had started the season well.

It was just an unfortunate incident.

Need to bring that quality winger now was hoping alves from Leicester but sounds like the manager there wants him.

Very disappointing news
Some players seem to be prone to injuries and Ollie appears to be one of those.
He seemed to have found his feet in this current line up for the first time since he's been at the club and now it's all gone pear shaped for him.
Unless we happen to find an adequate replacement on loan, I assume we will have to decide between Isaak Davies or Willock to fill in.
Only time will tell whether this will upset the balance of the team that's looked quite impressive to date.

Monty I agree more were said, but maybe they’ve realised they can’t just keep getting rid.

We need players asap

I’ve always been an advocate of bringing at least three new players in preferably at least two experienced lads that have been around the bock more than once.

I can’t see that happening now but surely he must be allowed to reinforce now ffs!

I’ve just read on your other thread that he’s been quoted as saying they’re still bringing them in.

We have to trust him even though we can’t trust the board!

I never panic about anything especially football. I’ve seen it all before.

We’ve been in a lot worse situations than this but I’m still hoping we’ll strengthen after reading the other thread.
