Was it a penalty to Cardiff?

Tue Aug 19, 2025 7:14 pm

I believe it was:

Joel Colwill taken down in the box. Defender doesn't get near the ball. Somehow a goal kick.

Probably, but looks like linesman has decided the ball was out of play before the foul was committed.

The most obvious penalty I've ever seen. I'm absolutely stunned the ref missed it. :banghead:

My instant reaction was that it should have been a penalty.

Still think that after seeing the replay.

I reckon he would have given it if it was ten minutes later. They shouldn't think like it, but some referees don't like making big decisions early on.

Ned that picture shows contact when ball clearly out of play! If lino sees that they can't give penalty ..... but ref crap again

The tackle started way before that image.

Probably should have been a penalty say the radio Wales commentators.

Possibly another penalty in the 2nd half when Robinson had a shot blocked by a defender on the 6 yard box, when you consider the penalty given against the Everton defender yesterday.

Refs have been abysmal so far and it is by far the biggest drop in standards from Championship level.

How we didn't get a penalty for the push on Kpakio Saturday was mental. They're just scared to make any big decisions.

The fact their player was holding his face tells you he thought he was in trouble.

The ball wasn't anywhere near his head :banghead:

Agreed it was too early otherwise given, there was a handball penalty shout too.
