Yousef Salech / Kieffer Moore

Mon Aug 18, 2025 7:53 pm

Yousef Salech is the quickest Cardiff City player to reach 10 goals for City since Kieffer Moore.

Both took 26 games.

Salech has a bit more about his overall game than KM, who is more like a goal poacher.

The other difference is that KM is constantly trying to win fouls and spends more time on his back than Bonnie Blue!

Kieffer was playing in a better team aswell at that time, and Salech had to endure a season with Riza, Salech should get a shed-full this season.

Hmmmm I dont know if I agree with this. Moore is a very technical player. His finish for Ipswich against us at home a few seasons back was world class.

Salech is more Robust. A bit of a throwback regards physicality.

Both are good. Salech will have done very well to achive more (than Moore); but he does have the tools.

I rate both players, but Salech is 23 and Moore is 33.
Salech may not have reached his peak yet, whereas Moore could be past his best.

Keiffer could have had a hat full more, if he hadn’t gone ‘on strike’ for his last season, which could have cost us an earlier relegation :(

He was decent for a season, but I see Salech being the more rounded player in keeping with what most Bluebird supporters like, i.e. not afraid to get stuck in and mix it up! :ayatollah:

I think Salech's all round play was better on Saturday.

We saw it with the Ashford goal. He made a nice turn on the edge of the box, looked for a shooting position but it was blocked off so he gave the ball to Ashford - who then did a nice 1-2 with Turnbull and scored a great goal.

Very unselfish for Rubin's goal, could have had a shot himself but made the right decision.

His all round play will need to be on point tonight as well.

Agreed, we've seen big improvements in Ashford and the Colwills too; they are thriving at the moment, and all the rest have improved too. That squad should never have gone down. We can see that the quality was there, it was just the style of play and disorganisation, and the players look so much fitter already this season.
