The city centre would be ideal for you, it is full of bars, restaurants and live music and as stated the ninian is well gone.

The Ninian is a Chinese restaurant now

Worked in Cardiff in 1991-93,used to drink in a pub called the lodge on sophia gardens, don't suppose that's there now then

canton rugby club and the sandbagging b4 the game then in central Cardiff after

Hudo lounge, canton cross be wise not to have colours on full display hudo lounge is not as intense as other 3
In town old arcade nice pub seating outside 2 others 50 yds away also seating outside owain glyndwr, market tavern ,and head of steam .so you don' t have to walk or fall far.

There is still a pub where the Lodge used to be. Now called Brewhouse and Kitchen

Do you remember it as the lodge,I was made very welcome in there and had some good nights..they had karaoke a couple of nights and also had a disco at weekends.
