Biggest Club in Wales :

Wrexham 10,600 championship

Swansea 15,800 championship :bluebird:

Cardiff City 17,500 league 1 :bluebird:

I will leave that there

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

And if we keep winning at home we will break the 20k barrier.

I see Wrexham fans on social media saying they're bigger than us.

But I still say it's Cardiff, Swansea, Wrexham, Newport - in that order.

That's why Wales play their important games at our stadium.

I imagine Sheffield United would have brought a few to Swansea, so that’s pretty crap they didn’t sell out

Re: Biggest Club in Wales :

we have got the biggest fan base in Wales enough said annis BLUEBIRDS

Re: Biggest Club in Wales :

Wrexham a big club? lol even if they did make it up one day they’d just be another Bournemouth, Wigan or Luton…..

Re: Biggest Club in Wales :

Sat Aug 16, 2025 7:07 pm

I didnt realise Wrexham were only bringing in 10,000

I would be pretty disappointed if I were them.

Re: Biggest Club in Wales :

Some may not agree.

But we are bigger than any other club in Wales and always will be.

Wrexham only have 3 sides of their ground open though.

Re: Biggest Club in Wales :

Not shocked by the Jacks crowds, they've been a bottom half championship team for a good while now, personally I was far more excited for a season in league one were we are likely to be pushing for promotion, than another year down the bottom end of the championship

Even last season when it held 13,000
Including 1,150 away fabs baby times they only got 10,000-11,000

They will never ever be a big club

The funny thing is that any jacks teams where pundits admired their style of play never
included Fat Lee Trundle!!

Nothing to do with winning. All the fans have left because of the rebrand.

They got to 95% of their capacity last season with their average attendance.

I agree, they will always be a small club as their catchment area covers Liverpool, Manchester and at a push Leeds. They are riding high on the feel good factor for now but the novelty soon wears off.
Cardiff City are by far the biggest club and always will be.

The current capacity of the Racecourse ground is 12,800 but I believe there are plans to increase the size of the Racecourse Stadium to 16,000 by increasing the Kop Stand to 5,500 capacity

There are further ‘plans’ to eventually reach a heady 55,000 (yes, 55k!) :o

We will always be the ‘biggest’ club in Wales, but currently we are an embarrassing 3rd in League position!

He clearly doesn’t speak to many of their fans.

They have been moaning for the last few seasons that their style of play is boring and not progressive enough.

What makes it more embarrassing, that was their first home game of the season. The numbers will keep declining.

I said last season, even if we go down we’ll always have more fans coming than them.

Re: Biggest Club in Wales :

lee trundle is embarrassing

he only pretends to be a jack because back in his hometown no one knows who the f he is

Re: Biggest Club in Wales :

Sun Aug 17, 2025 9:33 am

Population wise, we are the biggest city out of the four so it's only natural we will attract a bigger attendance, especially if the team is doing well in its respective league.
However, we can't get away from the embarrassment of being in a division lower than Swansea and Wrexham.
We need to put that right A.S.A.P.

Re: Biggest Club in Wales :

Sun Aug 17, 2025 10:37 am

Even if the Yankee doodle dandy boys did stump up the money to increase the capacity to 55000 so that they could perhaps get some Wales International matches played there they would probably only half fill it and if they were in the Premier League again they would probably only half fill it due to the Big Premier League teams near to them. I don't think North Wales has that much interest in football other than the scouse and manc fans, they won't change their allegence if Wrexham became a Premier League team
.

Last season we had bigger crowds than Bournemouth and Brentford.

Does that make us a bigger club than them?

On many occasions pundits have described us as a big club you never hear them call brentford swansea Bournemouth ect ect as big clubs.... it comes from our status in game ! You may not agree but it's how we are seen by others within game that defines us not fans

If it’s how other fans see us I don’t think we are a big club then.

I suspect neutral fans would see Wrexham as bigger than us. They have just spent 7.5 million on a player in the championship and we talk about them a lot more than they talk about us.

Fans have a different perspective as to what constitutes a big club? Most clubs fans say those that are big clubs generally have capacity of 30k+ fans... personally we are up with clubs like sheff utd Notts forest ect but like said fans will never agree that we are as big but we are...People say being in premier league and staying there will make us a big club? I used sheff utd who are big club but have stayed in premier league infrequently so where do they get their staus as big club from same goes for Sunderlandand even forest and there are others with similar credentials
