Dodgy defence? Nah!

Best defence in the league , only one goal conceded in 3 games - it’s a funny old game .

How did the Fish and Lawlor partnership look today?

Agree thought they looked solid and composed. Dont get me wrong Rotherham were poor and hugill was very quiet but was that detriment to the defence/ team performance?

Coped ok with any aerial threat?

Fish surprised me today. He did the physical stuff very well and Hugill got nothing out of our CBs.

I'm not in denial, we do need a new CB and I hope the Osho rumour is true.

But they did well against a physical team today.

I think Fish and Lawlor switching sides helped massively, it's much easier for Fish to take the ball on his right side

Very positive to hear. I did not feel comfortable with Chambers at CB so I’m glad this partnership seemed to work well. Pleasantly surprised with BBM dropping Chambers too.

Rotherham attackers didn't get a kick, and Trott slept for 100 minutes.

The defence were barely tested today.
When they were, they did their job.
They'll have much stiffer tests away from home though!

Our defence did their jobs today and made Rotherham (some pundits choice for promotion) look very ordinary; and credit to them for that! :ayatollah:

I thought this was Lawlor’s best game. I feel more at ease with Fish & Lawlor at the back than with Chambers partner one of them. The whole team deserve credit today though, as we were so dominant in every department.

And that goal was a dodgy ref decision for a poor penalty.

They looked good together, but in fairness they weren't tested much as merry miller's were poor.

Yeah I agree with this. They did well but Rotherham offered nothing.

May have been down to our passing game and we passed them out the match, but Trott's only save was the shot from distance late on - Trott did well with that to be fair to him.

“I thought Fish and Lawlor played very well together and showed real potential as a partnership. Some posters have said it was a poor Rotherham side, but I think the two of them made the Rotherham attack look poor — and that’s a credit to them.”
