Apparently?

I've seen that on Twitter. Was going to wait until there was something more solid before it got posted on here.
But would be an interesting one.
Not as sold on him as others, he blows hot and cold.

In this division he would have a field day

Journeyman. More clubs than Rory McIlroy. Not for me...
Very fast, poor control, poor end product. Got enough like that already...

He's a good example of a player who moved to a massive club too soon and was then spat out and bounced around. I know we offered limited progression when he was here but man city was the wrong club for him to move to.
When he has played for Rangers he looked decent - and I don't agree with beans.blue that he has poor control and end product - certainly at league 1 level he would destroy defences.

He’d run amok in Div 1

Could be a goer with the Man City youth connection, I guess BBM will know all about him. I'd be a little surprised that he would drop to this level, but maybe, as it's Cardiff and he is sold on the project, it's possible.
He would be good and have real fun for a season or two.

He’s never really lived up to the hype. He had a good season with Brugge back in 2021 but other than that I think he’s struggled a bit everywhere else.

I think it's so important to find the right club for players, clubs whose style of play enhances their key attributes.
Rubin has found a manager who understands what he can do and has a style of play that suits him. Rabbi has bounced around and hasn't found that manager yet. Coming home would make sense as we need direct speed, and BBM plays with attacking wide forwards. He is 25 soon and hasn't found his home yet.

Had he left Man City when BBM was there or did he work with him for a short time?

left two years before BBM started at City

He is only 24 noting that Rubin is 23.
I think BBM was at Rochdale when Matondo was at Man City but clearly he would have known about him.
I do wonder whether Rabbi Matondo on the Right Wing and Tanner on the Left Wing could work

Yes please

He would be a good signing.
Crying out for some pace out-wide, so would just give is different option that we are going to need sometimes.

This would be very good to bring him back.
Watched him play a game for Shalke04 in Germany, when he was there, he was on fire (against Leverkusen).
So unless he has lost it at 24 years of age - would be a great signing, in my opinion and yes Tanner down one wing and Mattondo down the other wing - both fliers
Think we will win tonight against Wimbledon unless we get muscled out of the game - but this ref likes his yellow cards so may work in our favour ?
