There is a Rochdale link contained within the below -

Club career
Reading
In July 2016, Osho signed his first professional deal with Reading,[6] signing a new deal until the summer of 2020 on 3 January 2018.[7]

After short loan spells at National League clubs Maidenhead United and Aldershot Town, Osho made his debut for Reading in a 0–1 defeat to Middlesbrough on 22 December 2018 earning man of the match.[8]

On 29 January 2019, Osho joined Bristol Rovers on loan for the remainder of the 2018–19 season.[9]

On 28 October 2019, Osho featured on trial for Ipswich Town U23's in their game against Coventry City.[10]

On 7 December 2019, Osho joined National League side Yeovil Town on loan until 4 January 2020.[11]

With his contract with Reading due to expire on 30 June 2020, and due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the 2019–20 season, Osho signed a short-term extension with Reading until the end of the season on 26 June 2020.[12] Following the completion of the 2019–20 season, Osho was offered a new contract by Reading,[13] but went on to decline the offer and leave the club.[14][non-primary source needed]

In October 2020, he played for Salford City's development squad in a Central League match.[15]

Luton Town
On 18 November 2020, Osho joined EFL Championship side Luton Town on a permanent deal.[16] In December 2020, Osho rejoined National League side Yeovil Town on a one month loan deal.[17]

On 21 January 2021, Osho joined Rochdale on loan until the end of the season.[18]

Osho established himself as a first team player for Luton during the 2021–22 season, making 26 appearances.[19] The following season, Osho scored in the Championship play-off semi-final against Sunderland as the team achieved promotion to the Premier League.[20]

After missing the beginning of the 2023–24 season through injury, Osho made his Premier League debut in a 3–1 loss at Aston Villa on 29 October 2023.[21] He scored his first Premier League goal in a 4–3 home defeat to Arsenal on 4 December.[22]

On 24 May 2024, Luton said it was negotiating a new contract with the player.[23]

Auxerre
On 11 July 2024, newly promoted Ligue 1 club Auxerre, announced the signing of Osho to a one-year contract, with the option of an additional two.[24]

International career
In March 2024, Osho was called up to the Nigerian national team for the first time, but did not make his debut due to injury.[24] In November 2024, Osho was called up again and made his debut on 14 November 2024 in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Benin.[25]

BBM's managerial career path would suggest he knows Osho from previously -

Managerial career
2019 Rochdale (caretaker)
2019–2021 Rochdale
2021–2024 Manchester City EDS
2025– Cardiff City

Just about peak age for a centre half, I think that is a good position for a bit more experience, sounds promising.

Another point that's important is Osho is a Wasserman player.

Obviously we've liaised with Wasserman in the past and BBM has worked with Osho.

So there are connections there.

Sounds like a very good player to me...hope we get him... :bluescarf:

Wow, by strongly linked do you mean you saw a post on the other board that someone had received a message asking about a link, just 8 minutes before your post. Or i'll take my cap in hand if you can say where that 'strong link' is.......

I saw him play in a TV game for Luton in the prem - he had a good game from memory though I can't remember who it was against.

From French sources on Twitter actually. Unlikely that Auxerre people would pluck our name from nowhere to make stuff up.

I don't look at the other message boards. It's hard enough keeping up with stuff on here.

Now this is more like it. A player with years of experience at a higher level. It would be a coup if we could get him from Auxerre, especially as he's been playing games for them.

I'll take your word, but I cant find anything. I'm genuinely interested in how rumours start on here, and I know its a messageboard to discuss rumours, but some are off the scale, Gary Otto was a done deal, he even met ministers, Cardiff Council and had agreed to turn the red seats blue and change the badge back, 60k expansion its sometimes like chinese whispers.

This will be a very good signing if he gets here.

He scored against us when Luton went up to the Premier. He should be able to cope with League One comfortable.

Not the tallest of centre backs but this would be quite the capture if he's played in the prem and the French league.

I'm picturing a Cipre style of defender.

The only worry I would have he was loaned out to Yeovil

It was going great until I saw that
