" Isaak Davies "

Tue Aug 12, 2025 10:41 pm

Brian Barry-Murphy:

“He’s been electric in training and I just wanted him to get the confidence that he can play at the same level and he displayed that.

“He’s clearly an outstanding striker that wants to play through the middle, but based on the quality that we have in that position, I feel as an option in wide areas he’s very exciting, and I think he’s a player who will get the support based on how explosive he is in behind the last line, which is so important to the way we want to play.”

I’m probably in the minority but I didn’t think he was that great tonight.

I agree with you.

Hopefully will improve as we need all our forwards to get up to speed asap.

Agree he was poor He came across a right back who was much quicker than him and that left him with few options as speed is his main attribute. He did not seem to have anything else

Where did you do your man management course?
Have you ever written a positive post on here?

A few nice corners last night, some good runs but overall, he would have wanted to do better on his first start, only had a very small number of minutes before this coming on both times in added on time where it’s very unlikely he can impact the game in anyway. Almost pointless for him doing so.

Hopefully, he can get more minutes and get closer to the front man at times, get in behind the defense and cause problems that way.

Agree he did not stand out yesterday though. :bluebird:

I was surprised how slow he was.

I don't think their right back was particularly quick, but he beat Davies to a number of balls down the line when Davies was the favourite to get there.

It looked like he has lost a half yard of pace but I also think he maybe a bit nervous to run flat out due to previous hamstring issues

I thought his corner deliveries were spot on best we've seen from any player in ages

I think he just needs a few games for him to be able to trust that his hammy won't go again and then we will see a big improvement in his all round game

Go back and watch the highlights. His corners were class. One led to a goal, the other led to what should have been a goal. Some of the best deliveries I've seen in this limited season.

Another one that needs support. Get behind him, also!!

Suprised by the amount of negative comments on here.

I thought he did very well, got fouled alot (which the ref didn't give anything for) and massively improved his physicality.

I thought the same.

First time in a long time that he's played that many minutes in a competitive game and he did well I thought.

Again this word "negative" being used because every in one is not saying he was like a prime ryan gigs running down the wing. What planet is the forum on these days

It's either positive comments or negative comments. The issue is that a lot of topics have been posted last few weeks with NEGATIVE vibes or comments towards or about players staff etc.
So I guess people are seeing it now as either with or against. Or positive or negative whatever way you want to use it or call it
