Sheff Wed Fans Protest / That’s the way to Protest / If Only

Sun Aug 10, 2025 8:59 am

Those who say Tan is not as bad, they’ve not had their identity stripped / Humiliated and Badge turned in to a Malaysian Worm.

They are still Championship / Cardiff City are Div 3

UPDATED:

3000 Wednesday supporters taking their seats after 5 mins play. There are 1000 in the concourse and another 2000 outside the ground waiting to go in.

All organised by the supporters trust who are outside and inside the ground with megaphones informing the fans what's going on.

If only we had a trust who would do the same but we all know that's not going to happen.

DESPITE:

Sheffield Wednesday are no longer under any embargoes after they settled their outstanding debts to players, staff and other clubs.

Sheffield Wednesday play today live on Sky

Their fans around 3000 of them will be protesting against the clubs owners.

Isn’t it about time we did the same inside the ground and not just talk about arranging marches.
Let’s have a look and see how they do it and maybe we can learn how to protest properly and really try to drive Tan and the rest of his cronies out of our club.

Over the years the supporters of Cardiff City have had a reputation of being one of the most vocal and intimidating set of fans in the country. We are now considered a soft touch and our stadium a nice place to visit for away fans. Cmon guys let’s turn it up a few notches and really let Tan know it’s time to go.

An empty away end until five minutes in. A day of protest on the opening weekend from Sheffield Wednesday supporters. They have only one message: Dejphon Chansiri must sell the club

The situation at the two clubs is totally different. Much as Tan is disliked surely everyone will agree he’s a far better owner than the guy at Wednesday

Let's get it right, Tan is a terrible owner and I hope he sells soon.

But he's got nothing on Chansiri - totally different situations.

And don't forget we have had protests.

Sky sports talking all about the protests etc will be interesting to see how they cover it.

They'll make passing references as to why their protesting and it will concentrate on the football ...wouldn't surprise me if they turn down effects mics at their end done it before as not to over shadow commentators.

Are they walking out of the seated area of the stadium?

The problem we have is when we win a few games the majority of supporters step back off from wanting to get tan out ,
We feel like we are fighting a loosing battle with these fans ,
It will only happen again when we are doing badly in the league .
Our club should be protesting every game but it just won’t happen unfortunately

Major respect for the players who've stuck it out, also. All could have left for free and some decent players have stayed. What a mess. They were a handful of signings from making a play-off push in my opinion.

You couldn’t have been more wrong. They spent quite a bit a time on it in the build up with the studio pundits, then live outside the stadium then the match commentators spoke about it and camera time focused on the empty stands.

Huge focus on it at the 5 minute mark.
Much more than passing references.

Fantastic to see and has got the media’s attention.

Some here mentioned doing something similar a few days back but was belittled by some as being stupid and unachievable.
If Wednesday can do it so can we.

Wrong they keep panning the cameras to the fans no mutting the sound commentators talking about them

The problem we have is the majority of our fans just walk away and to many believe Boris / Dalmans Bullshit.

The other problem is a lot just accept and can’t be bothered like other Clubs Fans.

That’s how I see it mate, was the same when the club went red only started protesting when we in the bottom 3 and staring relegation in the face,we’ve gone soft as a fan base win a few games now forget all about it again,we should be unite and get tan and his cronies out it’s ridiculous how people think we can go forward with these people here it’s mental, there’s to many saying oh without tan and his money etc,but we’ve got the most debt we’ve ever had,in league 1,lowest crowd since the early 2000’s a split fan base but never mind tan and his cronies got a plan

A lot comparing SWFC to us and I don't think they're comparable.

Tan is a terrible owner and I hope he sells soon but he's nothing compared to Chansiri.

It's still uncertain that SWFC will be able to complete the season.

We have problems but nothing on that scale and whilst I want Tan to sell, I don't think anyone genuinely believes he'd ever put us in the situation SWFC are in.

But all credit to those Wednesday fans, did the right thing today.

Sky really are going to town with they focus on the protest. First thing mentioned coming back from half time adverts.
Fair play to sky.

Where did I say we shouldn't protest? I'm just saying their situation is far worse.

I was on the last protest. Some people on here said they'd turn up but never did.

Good results or bad results, protests should be taking place.
