The promoted teams and relegated teams:

Sat Aug 09, 2025 3:57 pm

Of the teams relegated from the Championship in their first two games:

Luton have won both, Cardiff have won one and drawn one - Plymouth have lost both their games

The four teams promoted from League Two:

Bradford (4pts), Doncaster (6pts) and Wimbledon (3pts) have all won at least one game. Port Vale have one point from their two games.

So the promoted teams are doing well.

As expected, the promoted teams are doing well.
You were right about Plymouth. Nightmare start for them!
Still early days for everyone.

The both clubs Cardiff have played so far:

Peterborough who were 18th last season have lost both games and Port Vale promoted from Division 4 have got one point from 6 against us.

City in a good position and need to now beat Rotherham
At home next Saturday to keep the momentum up.

We virtually all agreed City should Win 5 of their 6 opening games against the type off opposition we are up against.

City are still on course.

Plymouth I’m shocked about.

Port Vale are playing with virtually their 4th Division Squad so will be down near the bottom unless they strengthen.

Very very early days

Momentum is a big thing in football. If you are winning team you can often take that intoa higher league. Our start is perfectly acceptable all be it with two polar opposite performances. Luton weren't up to much. Had two shots on target and scored both. Their second was a joke, total gift from Peterborough. Nice to see the Jacks and Wrexham both lose too. Wrexham will have a reality check this year.

Stop bashing Port Vale just because they were league two last year. They have a good manager and some half decent players. I don't expect to see them struggle this year.

Ok if they don’t strengthen we will see where they end up.

I don’t bash Bradford and they were Div4

It’s because their squad is virtually Div 4 players Vale

Huddersfield the stand out side so far I've watched both of there games and they were impressive in both closely followed by Stockport, although Luton have 6 points they haven't looked good in either game

I agree, very early days and we know the table doesn't take shape until about ten games in.

But an interesting first couple of games for some teams.
