Not sure what was going on on Thursday, so many crosses over hit, especially by Willock and Tanner as has been discussed. Do you think BBM has insisted on pace on the cross? Just seems odd that so many were blasted past the far post.
Also why keep Willock on for so long with Davies on the bench?

I think I read somewhere on Thursday during the match commentary on this forum that it looked like PV had scrubbed out the original touch lines and bought them in by a metre or 2.
I known it sounds a bit stupid but could that have been the reason why so many of our crosses were overhit. Did PV's groundmen play a sneaky tactical blinder???

Not first game tactically width of pitch been changed to foil opposition? As long as pitch is at the minimum requirement can change size! but could be right musnt forget players use to hitting ball with certain strength game in game out to get it to destination ...shortened width would certainly effect players. Who generally cross ball like Tanner Willock

Was told they shortened the width of tbe pitch and deflated the balls

League rules state teams can not alter size of pitch during the season So they did not do this because of Cardiff They will play on that for whole season

Wasn't just Willock and Tanner, Wintles crossing esp from set peice areas was appalling.
Something was going on.

I can't believe people on here actually defending the abysmal crosses that our wingers put in. After they overhit the first cross they should have had some idea what to do with the next cross, but they didn't and kept on doing the same thing time after time. They were both dire IMO and no excuses.

I’m not making excuses as they should adjust, they lack the technical ability.
Interesting to find out how many crosses we put in and how many were over hit

It felt like one of those upset cup games. The oppo were in our faces, and we just didn’t bring the quality needed to make the difference.
In the second half, Bagan found himself in a great position just inside box, with Salech in space. All it needed was a chipped pass of no more than 20 yards. He’d execute that technique 10 out of 10 times in training, it’s the self-belief, confidence, and composure to do it when it matters in a game.
Willock is totally lacking confidence at the moment and reminds me of Murphy before he left us.
Tanner is still learning, and his final ball can be erratic.
In summary, I don’t think the pitch had much to do with it in regard to our final ball, it was mostly about the pressure that when things aren't going your way can you step up and make the difference .

It could be they have narrowed the pitch because there seemed an awful lot of grass between touchline and the advertising boards. Wingers should have adapted to the narrower pitch after a while, not still be over hitting crosses in the 2nd half.

The pitch certainly looked smaller with that bigger gap on the one side but surely professional footballers can judge how hard to hit the ball to a pin point accuracy, and then the free kicks absolutely shocking , was so frustrating, I would of put a better ball in .
They better sort it out quick and yes why the hell was willock still on the pitch ? Davies on bench talented , quick and skill full.
Baffling why he didn’t come on .
Can see us in a relegation battle soon

Sorry I don't buy this one bit.
The crosses were poor because they were poor, nothing to do with the size of the pitch - players should be able to adjust to different conditions.

The crossing has been terrible for years . It’s one of the reasons we got relegated, how can a striker work with that . Players are not good enough especially the wingers . Over hit crosses from wrong angles . I expect better from under 12s

Don't understand why Alves has not been given another season on loan here when BBM took over ???
