Championship this season

Not our league anymore sadly, but the Championship starts tonight with Birmingham v Ipswich.

Who do you see going up and going down?

Can't look past Ipswich and Southampton for top two.

Leicester will be in and around the play-offs I think.

Can also see Birmingham, Norwich and Sheffield United being up there.

Millwall my dark horses to do well.

Wrexham will probably be mid table I reckon, same with the Jacks.


Sheffield Wednesday likely to struggle I think for obvious reasons. Can also see Hull down there (not impressed with their signings) and Preston.

Referee absolutely hopeless brum scored goal but ref gave a foul when t wasn't a foul ... twice given fouls when they wasn't..

Referee is having a shocker. Seems to think it's a non contact sport. Don Goodman on commentary said "this is getting ridiculous."

Less than 20 minutes in and he's already lost control of the game.

1st half was tetchy and ref was abysmal that added to atmosphere but that's dropped off 2nd half

Championship summed up in one game its actually a good game to watch

Ned wasn't a pen but he shouldn't have had both hands in air which is what ref probably saw... it did run risk of being penalised even if it was accidental

Yeh Birmingham supporters never take it well

I don't know whether Brum are just up for it so much because it's first season back in championship and in front of their fans, but if they continue to play as aggressive as they are then they are going to pick up an awful lot of red cards. They were starting to lose the plot before the penalty, but after that they were rediculous. The ref was all over the place with his decisions. After Ipswich equalised and Brum kicked off the ball was played back and Hurst the Ipswich striker went to close down the ball and he was grabbed by 2 Brum players hauled to the ground and the ref gave a free kick to Brum. Crazy decision
