I would have kept fish in, chambers play like a bulut team across the back,
back to the keeper ,players last night where constantly going forward then turning and playing it backwards killing momentum to attack we looked like we had set up defensively I hated the whole 90 mins last night, and all the fans around me where saying the same ,the 2 that came in chambers and willock made things worse
We need to realise quickly we are everyone's cup final this season we should expect this everywhere we go.

The next 3 or 4 matches are crucial, maybe excluding the cup match.
We will soon discover whether BBM is all motormouth / Riza Mk2 or if there's a genuine man manager and motivater in there.
Genuinely concerned that we can go from a pacey high press game to something resembling Bulutball at its worst several days later.
Please don't let it be yet another false dawn with this guy attempting a shite facsimile of Man City in League 1.

Without a shadow of a doubt - you are 150% correct!!
He slows everything down - he is another Joe Ralls.
He is not a defender in the pure sense. He continually loses his man and has at least one mistake a game in him that will lose us a goal - didn't we at least learn that from last season and I sincerely hope BBM has learnt that after last night!! His best position is as a midfield enforcer - end of!!

Cracking diving header though!
Think it was possibly our only shot on target

Chambers doesn’t fit our new style, personally I was hoping he would be sold and the money reinvested

Fish and Chambers against Rotherham for me.
Lawlor has been the worst CB so far this season unfortunately.

Last season we learnt fairly quickly that Chambers is no centre back - clearly BBM has watched zero playback from last season because if he had done, Chambers wouldn't be there.
In fact, BBM is now partly hand tied to find a place in the team for him because he's captain!
Obvious to me that our best centre back pairing is Darland and Fish.
In addition, Turner should not have been dropped. Just because a player trains well doesn't mean that translates to a performance on match day.

Right decision to bring Trott straight in. He's going to be first choice so no need to wait. I'm sure Turner understood the situation.
Trott did well on his debut and got a clean sheet.

I just can't put my finger on why Chambers is so poor at centre back. Being picky, I'd prefer it if he was a bit taller & stronger, but that's not the reason why he worries the hell out of me. I think it could just be his general positioning.
Think of how many blocks someone like Morrison or Bamba made each game. Think of how many last ditch tackles they made. How they always seemed to be in the right place at the right time (and Morrison was slow). I just think their positional sense was spot on. You almost can't teach that. Do you see Chambers making those goal saving tackles or making several blocks per game? Nothing stands out about his game at CB.
He just looks awkward and gangly and him playing there seems to upset the whole team dynamic. It's very strange. It's not like he's lazy either.
He's played more games at right back and at no.6 collectively, than he has at centre back so that's gotta tell you something. Sean Morrison only ever played as centre back. Chambers just shouldn't be there...I really wanted BBM to be the manager brave enough to ban him from that position but it doesn't look like it's gonna happen.

I know Tanner, Wintle, Bagan and Willock were all poor but I honestly think our problems lie firmly at Chambers’s door.
His overly laid back manner just doesn’t cope well when he’s aggressively pressed hard. His confidence literally falls apart. Even when we do have possession, he kills any forward momentum in favour of at first dithering, putting his foot on the ball allowing the forward to get on him, before casually passing backwards or sideways. Gone was the previous fast counter attack used against The Posh.
Making him bloody captain has now put BBM in a position where he’s unlikely to drop him without looking stupid.
Is he now un-droppable?

Your in lockstep with me our whole approach last night was so negative and imo it was down to chambers idea of how a full back should play Sean morrison will have to have a word in his and murphys ear and tell him to f.ck off in midfield.

I have to agree Chambers did not do well last night.
We need a Tough, Quality Captain ASAP
