Is Lawlor really rated?

Im sorry guys but i genuinely do not think this kid is that good at all, woefull 2 games i really dont rate him, other will have different opinion but for me not good enough

I rate him but he has a lot to learn based on these two games.

People will go after Chambers and he did have a bad game, but I thought Lawlor was worse.

And Fish was poor when he came on.

Desperately need an experienced CB or maybe even two.

Jessie Debrah was far and away the best centre back on that pitch. Stronger, cleverer and more composed than anything we had.

Lawlor has a lot of potential who is comfortable on the ball. He's very composed and comfortable playing out from the back.

Unfortunately, last night showed he is too small to be a centre back right now. He isn't going to grow any taller, so he needs to strengthen up if he's going to have a successful career as a centre back. We don't want opposing strikers bouncing him around, we want opposing strikers to be bouncing off him with Lawlor physically dominating his opposing striker.

I think with his current size, we would be better off trying to convert him into a full back, although he doesn't look the most pacey. I think he would be fine in a back 3 with 2 commanding centre backs either side of him but apart from that, I'm currently undecided what we can do with him.

Good on the ball. Too lightweight.
But that'll come with games.

We need a Debrah type CB to play alongside a Law or Cham really

If we are going to play chambers, play him in midfield…. At Cb is asking for trouble.

I agree to a certain extent about Debrah, but thought he was lucky not to concede a penalty when Salech was pulled back in the penalty area and also lucky not to be cautioned after a couple of his challenges on Salech!
