MY VIEW: AN AWFUL PERFORMANCE BY CARDIFF TONIGHT / BUT CARDIFF CAME AWAY WITH A DRAW

My view we need to win these type of games

Vale will have felt they should of won

And the end product was awful.

Our fans turned up, I felt the team never.





Last season Port Vale were Div 4 whilst Cardiff were Championship.


There were 3 changes to our starting lineup - Trott, Chambers and Willock come into the line up.


Vale were by far the better team in the first-half.


Cardiff need some physical lower league quaplayers.





FIRST-HALF:Port Vale may be disgruntled to go into the tunnel in a stalemate. They dominated the first-half.

Vale had numerous chances whilst Cardiff struggled in front of goal.

Vale were much more physical than Cardiff.












SECOND-HALF: 48th min Vale had a goal disallowed offside, looked dubious.

61st min: Fish on for Lawlor.

Turnbull on for J. Colwill.

Ashford on for Tanner.


64th min Vale hit the bar

Cardiff continued to struggle

77th min Robinson on for Salech

Vale were still the better side


91 min Isaak Davies for Willock

Cardiff looked promising

Do our players all wear those shock collars you can get for dogs & they get zapped if they dare to put the ball in the f*cking box?

A performance to highlight why we need new additions. This young team need help. The quality in to the box was the most disappointing thing. Tanner and Willock just awful. Have to give Port Vale credit they were excellent and aggressive. Played it like a cup tie. A point away from home is always a positive. We have yo be patient.Lots for BBM to think about.

The most consistently piss poor crossing I have seen at any level. Did we win any headers anywhere on the field. Some really basic errors irrespective of age...huge amount of work for BBM

I thought we were lucky they showed with there finishing they really a poor side in this division they will lose more than they win I'm talking about port Vale now cardiff to many had an off day manager should of changed half time I thought fish when he came on handled the rougher side of the game better rubin missing tanner missing wintle missing willock missing our whole spine went missing and bbm didn't change it why bring on Davies in injury time? Waste abit of time he's happy with the draw
Still only 2nd game of season I'm still not impressed with bbm but he has 8 games to prove to me he's not another riza onwards and upwards

In fairness to Salech did not get the service and got smashed about by the defence he worked really hard but that is what all the teams are going to do to him as he is the danger it was a frustrating game I felt for the supporters who travelled up for that.
Always take a point away from home but want to see us attack better, Tan will be furious us not shooting enough

Typical lower league game and a battle we lost .we have to learn this league is hard no points are easy .Teams like Vale will fight for everybody.

He didn’t create anything, but had a few decent turns which if he plays with confidence it would be good to see more of (if he can also add an end product)

It’s still early so looking for some positives out of that drab performance, a gifted clean sheet is the only real positive

It was same Saturday and same last season? It's a typical man c performance play around box but don't play in it! Bbm learnt from the master Pep.

Willock worst player on the pitch by a country mile. Absolutely shocking

Only positive was the keeper looks decent. We were poor from back to front.
Right across the back four we need strengthening 100% need an out and out centre half.

Willock how he came out for the second half God knows and Tanners distribution was woeful

Let’s hope the three promised signings are not youngsters but hardened lower league players.

Terrible performance but we got a point on the road, i think at times cardiff where shocked by the physicality and the way they counter pressed us.

We lacked ideas in the final third and we rushed thing way too much, which also showed how badly we still need a new fast left back and a quality winger. Willock just dont seem to click for us, chambers looked shaky and tanner had a night to forget.

But as they always say win your home games and try to get atleast a point away and it will get you promotion.

Massive wake up call. Physically dominated all night, 0 space in behind and didn’t have an answer to it.

I think it was a game we needed to avoid us becoming cocky.

The keeper looks decent and confident.

Lawler looks decent.

Joel Colwill ran himself into the ground.

Rubin disappeared.

Wintle , Chambers steady performances.

Willock dreadful.

I watched the arse end of the game and caught Bagans challenge, the reverse angle on camera showed he got the ball. I didn't have the sound on at the time but didn't see what everyone else seems to have seen? Tolaj went over like a premier league player and seemed to of bought the free kick and yellow card from what I saw. The initial challenge looked bad but reverse angle was all ball
